How do you verify literally ALL of my information... name, birthdate, school ID number, address.. AND STILL PULL UP THE WRONG ACCOUNT? then try and get nasty with me, because you cant do YOUR job..

Old lady (really wish i caught her name so i can file a complaint) in the Financial Aid department getting an attitude with ME, saying i havent sent transcripts or FAFSA, when she was looking at the wrong student the entire time! Then you want to put me on hold because im the problem?

Next time, focus on doing your job correctly, before trying to get an attitude with a student who is paying the establishment you work for.

Also, fix your computer systems. Still have an english class under my Fall 2025 plan, when I actually already completed the course. Told to "disregard, we can see on our end its complete." but you still cant see my MPN from 12/1? make it make sense.

Making me super hesitant to go to this school.. unorganized and the staff is not helpful.

AVOID THIS SCHOOL. It’s a huge waste of your time and especially money, which they will take at all costs. All you’ll get out of it is a headache and empty pockets.

Not a good school to attend. Highly bureaucratic, the “Financial Aid Department” resembles T-Mobile’s Customer Service line, the class materials are the exact same content you can pull from Google searches for free (literally), and the class instructors all have 2 stars on average on RateMyProffesor. Administration wise, they employ a method called Minimal Viable Communication, aka. you will only hear from the college about paying them what is due to them, everything else it is your responsibility to decipher. So if you’re expelled, then the college will not let you know. If the college sue’s you, they will not let you know. Whatever is the minimum amount of work for their bureaucratic selves.

Regarding Counselors such as Nicole, they are simply paper pushers who do no such thing as counseling. It is misleading to call them counselors as it is akin to calling Soldiers on the battlefield “Peace Keepers.”

Even the library is quite dull, which is a red flag for any college. This community college is not worth the time, money, or investment. Biggest waste of my time, and of yours if you so choose to endeavor on the “cheap” path for college. You’ll get out of life what you pay for…

HCC is the worst school ever, if I could give it no stars I would.
Specifically, the inconsistency of information given to students in ridiculous. The staff needs to be trained better to give students the correct information in regards to financial aid, admissions and advising. This is supposed to be a college for first timers and for people furthering their education with the degree programs they have available. Doesn’t matter how many times I call this place, I get different information every single time.
I would never recommend this school even though I’m stuck here until I get into the health sciences program I want.

Less than one star!!! Horrible Community College!! I am a transfer from another college trying to finish my A.A. in this College. I have a high GPA and am studying a lot but it is kind of impossible to get good grades in this school. In all my classes I have the most ridiculous professors asking too much homework, and no matter how hard you study for a test, they will put questions on the test that haven't been covered in class. I am not surprised that many people drop out of this school. I would not want to do two years at this crap school! Don't waste your money on classes there!!

This school is the worst . If FSW has optician programs I would have never enrolled . The amount of stress this school has put on me is insane . I don’t live in Tampa and I have to do all my classes online . I picked my classes on time and paid on time so I wouldn’t have any issues and they dropped me and I still haven’t gotten my refund . This is the second time this happens to me and at first they were blaming me saying oh you paid for spring classes instead of summer classes which was not the case and I know for a fact because I take pictures of all the payments I do in case I have an issue and it clearly said I paid for the classes I enrolled to . Then they said oh it was a “glitch” then she said oh it happens sometimes when you register and pay early. Well that’s not my problem I did what I had to do. Now I can’t take classes for this semester I still haven’t been refunded I’m behind and I’m incredibly stressed out . I really wished I never enrolled , no one helps you , it’s awful I don’t recommend this school. I’m considering switching schools soon .

Worst college I have been too. There systems is jacked up where it's almost impossible to apply for anything because it's always resetting or another malfunction in the system where you can't even make a apply. I took a variety of different classes and some of the professors are really good and intelligent, some of them I don't even know how they manage getting a job there. The schools system is pitiful that one time I didn't even existed at the school and I had to reapply. I can't even apply bc the systems keep messing up. Their website needs a huge upgrade so they can at least get somewhere.

No one is accountable for anything that the college does. There is no way to contact a specific person or department head that will take unaccountably for errors or misrepresentation on behalf of the college. Each person has a different answer for everything and no one can solve it. AWFUL if you are a long distant student or don't have 5 hours to wait on campus for answers or solutions. Everything requires paperwork and take up to a month to be resolved. Poor communication is guaranteed. Tech support is outsourced and they do not have an understanding of the software process or how to update it... teachers use old material and don't bother changing the dates on the syllabus, it's embarrassing.

It's better to transfer out regardless of the appeals process (which they require you to do even if it's the colleges fault---like them accidentally over charging you $1500.00 or enrolling you in a class without your knowledge) .

They might get back to my review or emails within 5-25 business days. PLEASE APPLY TO ANY COLLEGE BESIDES THIS ONE. ANY SCHOOL THAT CAN NOT FUNCTION ON AN ADULT REAL WORK LEVEL IS NOT WORTH ATTENDING.
