We stayed at This Historic Hotel in early March we arrived late but the staff greeted us and explained where everything was. Upon entering it’s so nostalgic, the elevator is original and a great experience! We had time the following day to look around at all the photos it’s like a museum. This Hotel is beautiful with a warm welcoming feeling.
The history, photos of the entertainment that they once had is so interesting and all the famous people that stayed there is really neat. Most likely the Route 66 highway was the busiest road of travel. Enjoyed our stay and will be returning. 🩵

We stayed in one of the older rooms, yes it was a small bathroom but I’m not bathing a 5-A-Side team in there.

The beds are brilliant and soooooo comfortable, we slept like logs! There is cable but sadly it kept cutting in and out, but we don’t really watch much TV so it didn’t bother us.

We had dinner downstairs and some drinks before, as there was a wait. The waitress and hostess’ are very attentive and the barman is brilliant too.

The fajitas are to die for! So is the orange juice and coffee in the morning too.

The location is on Route 66 which is brilliant. If you take a right, there is the older Route 66 hotels which will likely not be here soon so take lots of photos of those to document them before their demise.

Unfortunately, Gallup doesn’t have the best reputation BUT security is walking throughout the building which is brilliant! I felt safe and secure at all times around the building due to security. The only time I felt a bit out of place which was the evenings outside, but inside…. Brilliant!

There is no ATM in the hotel though, so the next morning we took a walk to the grocery store by the garage at the right hand side as you come out- the ATM charges $3.26ish to withdraw cash.

We didn’t feel out of place in the daytime at all, it felt really safe around the local areas too.

I’d quite happily stay here again 🙂

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We love the history of this hotel. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and both were very good. We also visited the gift shop and purchased a few things. The only negative thing was the bathroom is very small in the room but we understand that, being an old hotel. We highly recommend this place and will stay again when we're in the area.

What a unique experience! From the old time look but new feel, the clean rooms each with their own personality, to the personal digital touch of the text message allowing me access to information, this was an amazing stay.||I was traveling with my dog and was welcomed. They have a weight limit of 35 lbs. ||Bed was clean and comfortable while the 2 closets had plenty of room and was spacious enough to hang my clothing and have my suitcase. ||Bathroom seems small but easily navigated. I love the fact that I could reach the mirror shelf from the shower.

Excellent staff. We felt very welcomed. Enjoyed the bar the evening we arrived and breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. It is a great remodel improvement from many years ago, when we last stayed here. The ambience is hard to beat. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. I could sit and read in the lobby for hours, but regrettably we had to motor on down the road. We hope to return some day!

The hotel lobby was amazing! Finding the hidden door to the library was a challenge. Rocking chairs are set up on the balcony. Our room was in the detached annex that was decorated with 1950 decor. The shower had great water pressure and the bed was comfortable. Nice place to stay for the $.

The main hotel is so cozy with plenty of common areas to enjoy. I absolutely loved the art and photos on the walls and the music that was playing in the lobby. The vibes are immaculate! The staff was also friendly and welcoming. The restaurant on site is just OK. The hotel also had a security presence which made me feel better because I’ve read reviews for other hotels in the area about car break ins. Only downside was the shower water did not get hot in our room but the sink water did. The king room we stayed in was pretty small but I knew that coming in— if I’m ever in the area I will definitely book there again and perhaps try out a suite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this little piece of history instead of one of the big hotel corps off the freeway. You won’t regret it!

Super fun historic hotel; themed throughout with lots of fun things to look at. An old time-y elevator, signed photos of celebrities who once stayed here, a cozy lobby. Also features a nice restaurant and bar with a neat little gift shop. Definitely a fun place to spend a night if you’re on the road! Rooms (and bathrooms especially!) are a bit small but are clean and very serviceable 🙂 Would stay again for the vibes alone!
