Super cute little village filled with specialty shops and eateries. A fun way to spend a day in South Jersey. Plenty of parking. Lunch at the Lakeview Grill was great. Shop owners were friendly and welcoming. The vintage arcade was a bit disappointing as most of the games weren't in working condition but we didn't go for the arcade. They also have a train and carousel running during the warmer months (we visited during March so neither were running). Definitely a must visit if your in South Jersey!

This was our first time visiting and I was very impressed! We went for Octoberfest, and although it was busy, there were more than enough places to eat and shop. Tons of cute shops to stop in. All types of food items, a cheese shop, many places to eat or grab a snack or coffee, shops with gifts, and a train that circles around the village. They have paddle boats as well. I feel like this would be a cute place to visit regardless of the season, but it would definitely be worth it to visit during Christmas. The pizza place is also very good! Will definitely be planning another visit.

We've been to Smithville many times and love the quaint little area. There's so many shops with all kinds of unique items(some handmade), bakeries, dog places (for those, like us that spoil our pupper) Even if you're just wanting to go for a walk and have a little more to look at, come here. It's just so adorable and the houses are restored amazingly. There's also inns within the little town.
Oh, and chickens!
Not sure if it's holiday time anymore but at night, they have (had?) a water show.
Smithville needs to be on your list of places to go, at least once!

Fun way to spend a day in South Jersey. Very historic village with multitude of fun, specialty shops. We particularly loved the Christmas shop--loads of well made, unique ornaments, decorations. A bit overpriced but very high quality.

Lots of specialty Coffee, Bakery , convection, Irish shops. Smithville Inn is a large restaurant with excellent food. Recommend Chicken Salad Sandwich.

09/25/2024: We visited Historic Smithville for the first time today and arrived early before the shops opened. Then, we walked around. It was surprising to see all the geese and ducks roaming around. (Pictures attached.) Visited several shops and made sure to purchase a number of edible and decorative items to take home. The cheese spreads we purchased were particularly tasty. The ONLY thing I regret is not taking a ride on the train - next time. Shop owners were friendly and talkative. We had a positive experience.

Historic Smithville has a lot of cute shops and activities, but they had a lot of smoking and drinking. My group had an overall okay time, this is a decent family outing location. My group came for a Corvette show, which we all enjoyed.

Smithville Inn has great food and a wonderful atmosphere.
Beautiful displays of the gingerbread house.
Lots of sweet treats to eat.
Lots of nice shops for all your
shopping needs.
Spices, coffee, sweaters, chocolates, candles, Christmas ornaments, bed, bath, lots of nice places to eat.
Wine tasting at Tomasello winery. Lovely place to shop.
