I feel sad to give a place God being worshipped in a one star. While every needs to empathize and condemn any loss of human sole in violation of basic human’s rights. But displaying this picture in at this center and this NFP organization always its self to get blindly directed and manipulated with by the American media and politicians is so shameful. Just the amount of media coverage raises so many questions, if all of this was made up in the first place.

I.M.A.N is a wonderful organization and community center with lovely facilities that provides religious, social and other services and activities to a far-ranging community of individuals throughout the greater Metropolitan Los Angeles area. In fact, some families come from as far away as Ventura County and Orange County to attend services and partake in Friday prayers, Arabic and Farsi language classes, the Qur'an discussion forum in English on Sundays, and a variety of presentations in the auditorium throughout the week. Individuals also hold weddings and wedding receptions in the very large banquet hall and presentations in the 120+ seat auditorium. The best thing is that in my eight year association with this group and organization, they have always maintained a deeply rooted belief in welcoming people of all races, beliefs, and nationalities and have been recognized by various governmental and social organizations as being a pillar in the community. I have loved participating in the many events and services and consider myself fortunate to be able to be a part of such a wonderful community of people!

We went there on Sat. 07/13/2013 for the first time & the last.....!!
1. the car were parked in the front yard to make more money, rather than making the yard beautiful marble with a little pound in the middle, ( like a real mosque...!!)
2. Their mosque was a little room with 25 people capacity, ( in here men & women are ok.....!!! )and given the bigger nicer room to others for wedding & funeral....!! ( to make money again )
3. The food ( eftaar ) was too little too poor like a $5.00 food court in the mall
4. With all the money they make from oil/donation, they could have done much better
5. in 21st century & and in USA, you still have to seat on the floor to eat, we have not done that for the past 35 years, so it was too hard to do so
its like using one of those hideous Arab/Persian restroom
6. There is no parking in the street around, and very limited valet parking in the mosque, why they didn't think to buy this mosque on a less crowded place 20 years ago, that is an intelligent question.
7. They could not even hire someone with a nice voice to sing the azaan
8. I think they should ask for help from Muslim countries and/or rich Muslims
to make this place more desirable , otherwise that represent them as it was in the past 1400 years.

*Note: This is a Shia masjid. There are two buildings, which is confusing. Prayer room is in the ornately tiled building. *

I enjoy checking out masjids. We kind of figured this was a Shia masjid when we stopped. It was getting really late (we were travelling) and after asking one man, he gave us directions to the bathrooms and prayer area.

We usually go to King Fahd mosque when in the area, but we were grateful to be able to stop and pray here.

Make sure before you go inside you stop and read the beautiful quote above the door. 😊💕
