The Workshop was extremely well done and well prepared. You could tell that the instructor had done this before, that she had had more than enough materials for the large group and that she was experienced in leading guided meditations. Being an artist, she understood color and paint and was able to help the uninitiated. While this would be a good experience, regardless of the size of the class, it would be most beneficial with 6 - 10 participants as there would then be more time to analyze each person's artwork in depth. Nevertheless the large class was wonderful.

I thought this workshop was going to be fun but it was so much more than. Marie gently and steadily took us into meditation and slow down all the buzzling in our mind. Then, I didn't paint anything like I thought I would, as if my brush had a life of its own.
The aftermath was the most amazing part. Marie has such an intuitive connection to emotions drawn on the canvas. She saw things that most of us didn't notice, she saw through the layers of feelings brushed in colors. She was also extremely accurate.
All together, a wonderful me time therapy and an eye opening.

This was my second workshop with Marie and it was even BETTER than the first!
I have never had any art classes but the way Marie guides you into your creative space with relaxation and meditation exercises seems to work like magic. When it came to actually painting it seemed that blending just the right colors came so effortlessly and the images flowed so smoothly off the brush that I felt not one bit intimidated with the process. I was relaxed and felt so confident. When everyone had finished their respective works she guided us through an open discussion of each of the paintings focusing not only on the symbolism of the colors used but the symbolic images created by each of the artists in their work.
I highly recommend her workshop to anyone with an open and spiritual mind who wishes to explore his or her creative self. Well done, Marie!!!

The title of my painting was "Healing the Soul". Going in I had no idea of what I was going to draw but after meditating on it, I started flowing. While I had a different perspective on my painting Maria Donze weaved together a beautiful essay on the meaning of the different colors representing the various emotions and design that completely resonated with me and now I look at the painting in a very different and beautiful light. This was an eye opening experience that I recommend to anyone who who wants to get in touch with his or her inner artist. Marie is fantastic and leads the workshop with grace and joy. Even if--or especially if--you have never painted, this is for you!
