Had a great stay! An amazing room with incredible view over San Francisco. The location is in the center of San Francisco and the food at the Bar 888 was delicious. The staff member who worked the evening shift when I arrived literally made my day and pulled me out of my jet leg, his energy could bright up anyone’s day! Unfortunately forgot to ask his name but he was great!

For someone who has no experience with valet parking it was a little bit difficult to figure out where to leave the car and or what to do. Also I made the reservation with employee rate and I’m unsure if they do it or just not at all, but not when checking in or out was there any mention or acknowledgement regarding employee part. We are always thrilled if we have an employee stays with us so that was a bit unexpected. But I know every hotel is different and has their own ways.

Other than that the service and the staff were great, really enjoyed my stay!

5 Stars - A Perfect Stay!

I stayed at InterContinental San Francisco the first week of February for the Alif Summit, and I’m shocked this isn’t a 5-star hotel! Nicholas and the staff were amazing, and the service was top-notch. The location was unbeatable—just a 30-second walk from the summit. Clean rooms, great views, and a fantastic experience overall. Can’t wait to stay again!

Nice room, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. All the staff were nice too.
They charge to provide a microwave which was wild to me. At the very least, place one on each floor so it’s easily accessible to guests. Again, the kids menu seemed like an afterthought. No real options and who doesn’t have rice
I’m beginning to think that the Intercontinental Hotel brand is not kid friendly.

Staff very friendly at check in and going in and out of the hotel.

Noisy. Can hear room doors slamming (there's no way to close them quietly). Can hear the neighboring guests (moving things in closet, shower, flushing, etc). The one day I wasn't working at the convention I could hear the room cleaning activities. Elevator sound nonstop (it's the least problematic noise but surprising). City noise comes through the windows. Curtains let in a ton of light at night. Closing the blinds is fun though (it's a button).

Bring eye mask and ear plugs if you're sensitive to noise/light.

Beds comfortable, but they only have sheet or thick comforter. Asked for another blanket option as the comforter was too hot and using just the sheet too cold for me (sharing room with someone else with different room temperature needs). The staff member said that's all they have. Didn't offer additional sheets. I could have pushed more for it, but generally I was disappointed with interaction.

Shower sucks. Hard to turn handle and get temp right. Got super hot then can't get it to cool down. Happened to other person sharing room too. Next couple of days tried slowly warming it up and took 10 minutes to get right. There was a bunch of mold in the bottom corner of the door of the shower along the seal.

TV is big and guide has plenty to watch.

Went to the restaurant, but they were too busy (maybe under staffed). I didn't wait super long but didn't get greeted, a menu etc. I took it as a bad sign, so I decided to get doordash instead. I might have just caught them at a super busy moment so maybe not much to report here, but I thought it'd be great service considering the reviews and pricing.

For deliveries like doordash, they have a delivery table in the front lobby.

Spot was convenient for convention. Target nearby. One night walked down a couple blocks away from the main road and lots of people living along the street, so if that bothers you then just take a ride share for areas outside of the main street.

Unfortunately, I was too busy then got sick on my last two days. I didn't get to try the gym or the lap pool. It looks very nice in the photos.

For food and coffee, walk around the block to Java Trading Co. The food was so good and the coffee tasted great (strong)! Lots of variety of snacks and drinks. They were so nice too!! Pricing totally reasonable. The hotel coffee was 2.5x the price.

We have stayed here several times in recent years at this property, The staff could be used as an example of what other IC properties could aspire to/work towards. Yes, the building is great and is in a good location, but it's everyone on the team that makes this hotel special. Everyone is polite, professional, and patient. I also want to offer a shout out to the restaurant and bar. The food at the breakfast buffet is wonderful, and well maintained. We plan to stay a bit longer next time we are in the area, where to stay is an easy decision. I would encourage everyone visiting the area (even if it's just one night) to pass by the hotels near the airport and see for yourself what a wonderful hotel experience can be.

The room was decent. Bathroom seemed outdated with a tub. Disgusting white lotion substance on light knob by bed. Had to clean it myself. View was AMAZING. TV should at least be a smart tv for a premium hotel. The staff was AMAZING. As stated the room needs work. For a high end hotel, whatever that white stuff was is completely unacceptable and if you’re going to text asking how everything is, be willing to help more than say “let us know if we can make you more comfortable.” It shouldn’t be up to me what YOU can do to resolve the issue.

I come to the Intercontinental San Francisco every year.

I enjoy the location - close to the conference scene and convenient for the BART. I feel comfortable with the atmosphere and the friendly but not 'in my face' staff. I always use the pool.

Usually I will eat out (cos it is pretty expensive at the IC) but I am sure the food is really good!

The intercontinental never disappoints, rooms are big, comfy, clean. Great central location for the business I was in town for. It’s a 6 minute walk from one of my favorite restaurants “ Burma love”. The staff always greets me with a smile, have the best recommendations, and are lovely to meet and are happy to help with anything. Dorian always remembers me from previous visits, and is happy to relay new spots that I might like! I appreciate your friendliness Dorian!
