I really like take courses from Interpretrain. I took one last year. It was called note-taking symbols and techniques. It was a very well-designed course, and it provided ample opportunities for both lectures and practices. This year I am taking the State court interpreter oral exam training program. I found it very comprehensive. The vocabulary, content and range of topics covered by this course is very wide. CI, SI and sight translations are all covered in each unit, and it even has grading system for vocabularies. I found it very helpful in practicing along with the course and it helps both my daily work in the court as well as preparing for the oral exam.

I am a newbie in interpreting and translating field. I was struggling with how to take notes and how to remember all important chunks of meaning and then interpret into target languages. I found Interpretrain's videos on youtube and started to follow her footsteps. That's why I enrolled note-taking symbols and techniques courses online. It is so helpful beyond my expectations. I follow her guides from the videos and my note-takings improves so much after 1 week. The course is affordable. In addition, her admin is so so helpful and very kind and I am for sure, I will enroll other courses at Interpretrain. I highly recommend Interpretrain.

I benefited from some of the sample tests and the tips for preparing for the exam. My area of weakness is simultaneous interpreting which is mostly done in Spanish/ English

I've seen free video trainings, they are not only very easy to follow, but only very rich in content and generous teachings, advises and techniques. Excellent way to go in the career path of becoming a court interpreter. I've been a competency restoration trainer where I counsel or teach defendants with felony charges to become competent to stand trial. Therefore, I'm familiar with the court vocabulary and language, so I can see and say Interpretrain is one of the few companies out there that really know how to teach and guide people interested in this as a job or freelancer career. Excellent job!
