Our first Millpond Music Festival and loved the varied music offered. It was great to see all the kids having fun and small scale venue and green park. The food selection was ok, but surprised only a beer truck
And no wine offerings. The only negative was limited bathroom facilities, very few porta-potties and very very few trash receptacles. There was not even a trash can in the rest rooms or small ones for women’s sanitary disposal. Usually the restrooms were pretty bad after a day’s use and a leaking toilet in the women’s restroom made quite a mess with loose toilet rolls and trash. I appreciated that they did not allow dogs and the volunteer staff were real nice. With the event being 3 days I wish they would be more clear on the camping options as we left a day early not understanding the options. The festival is worth it, just be sure and get all the details clear and be prepared to be self contained. Music was great!

First the bad: Completely excluded the Lady Bug Gallery for years from their art walk because she was one block off Main Street and did not fall within their arbitrary mapping system. The Lady Bug was a gallery that carried the works of major California impressionist oil painters. As a friend said, "Never attribute to malice that which can be explained to incompetence." ICA had no desire to learn about the artists or to be inclusive. Though no one believes it, inclusivity benefits everyone. The more recent Chocolate-Art Walk, brainchild of Project Press, allows galleries outside the downtown perimeter to participate in their event, as long as you pay to be on his map. The good: ICA does provide inexpensive art and a marketplace for local artisans, as well as sponsoring a Memorial and Labor Day art festival in Bishop City Park.
