A little jewel of a gallery dedicated to California artists. Stopped in to see the Charlotte Skinner exibit of her painings and drawings of the Eastern Sierra and Owens Valley that encompassed over 30 years of her career, along with selected works from other artists in her circle of friends, including Maynard Dixon. Friendly staff, no fee for admission or charge for parking. Looking forward to future exhibits!

This delightful unpretensious gem pays homage to California artists with an emphasis on landscapes. Free admission & parking, friendly UCI students for docents as well as an open courtyard to enjoy a cup of coffee make for a memorable visit.

Validated parking and free admission. It's about a 30 minute tour of the museum but packed with the history of the OC and paintings of nature in southern CA. There was definitely something to take away from this experience and I'd gladly go back.

Very cool collection of California specific art. The Irvine family collection is very unique because it showcases just California art. It's pretty cool because most of the places are places many people here have visited. It's a different feeling vs what you feel when you see European art of places most people haven't been to. The parking is free with validatikn and the museum is free. It's small, so it doesn't take much time to finish it.

Outstanding museum collection dedicated to California artists, mainly impressionists. Congratulations to the Smith-Irvine family for their commitment to California art and its history and the time, efforts and generous funding if this unique collection that will not exist without them. Renovating the paintings exposed every four months is a specially attracting feature and a refreshing touch that make me return again and again. If you add free entrance, free parking, elegant settings and a pleasant staff, it is hard to find a place like this anywhere.

A favorite local art museum. It's small, yes, but that means one well-curated exhibit at a time, which takes about 30-45 minutes depending on how involved we get. We've learned a lot about Californian Impressionist art and artists. We try to visit each time they rotate exhibitions, about every 3 months. It's always worthwhile.

Parking is free, and it's near both the airport and the Irvine Water District ponds, which is a fun place to go walking afterwards.
