I stopped by the Museum while visiting Thomasville. The librarian, Ms. Bennett was so courteous and friendly. We had a nice conversation about some of Ms. Windham’s books and the displays in the museum. She volunteered to take a picture of me with the sculpture of Ms. Kathryn made by local artist Charlie “Tin Man” Lucas, who has visited our school a few years ago. I was delighted to see the sculpture and Ms. Bennett even provided me a memento from the visit. I shared one of the pictures with her and she emailed it to me in a special “I was here!” digital photo frame. I would recommend this stop to anyone who loves local history, and particularly, Kathryn Tucker Windham books.
