KnitFreedom has transformed my knitting life! I've been a member since its early days and I can't recommend it highly enough. I discovered KnitFreedom almost ten years ago while searching the internet for clear instructions on how to learn magic loop, and was wowed by the quality of the teaching videos Liat offered. Over the years I went on to learn many other skills from her. I developed confidence in my knitting through her encouragement and guidance, and just as she promised, I can now approach absolutely anything I want to knit with confidence. Even as an experienced knitter I return to her videos again and again to refresh my memory on techniques I haven't used in a while or to learn new ones. KnitFreedom is an amazing resource for knitters and Liat is the best friend a knitter can have, dedicated to her craft and to sharing her knowledge and her love of knitting with her students.

Hands down the best videos to learn how to knit! Close up of the yarn and needles, Liat's voice gives you confidence, not a lot of idle chit chat to sit through. She shows both left and right handed tensioning. She gives tips and shows how to fix mistakes. Knitfreedom is my go-to for learning new techniques and when I need a refresher!

KnitFreedom founder Liat Gat is a terrific teacher. In fact, I consider her one of the 7 best teachers I’ve had in my life, starting with Mrs. Lorraine Salisbury (my 4th grade teacher) and ending with Liat. Her instructional videos are brief and to the point, her voice is calm, her manner confident. If she makes a mistake, she doesn’t edit it out; rather, she demonstrates how to correct the mistake! IMO, THAT is the mark of a great teacher.

The KnitFreedom site is chock-full of ways to learn knitting techniques, from beginner to advanced. Their classes offer clear and thorough instruction. There’s always the added bonus of a Knit Along (aka KAL) to learn new skills or to hone existing ones. The blog contains a wealth of information. To me, KnitFreedom is like the Encyclopedia Britannica I devoured as a child, but with the added advantages of internet interaction and the ability to reach out and connect on a personal level.

There is no frustration here, there are no tears. KnitFreedom offers the opportunity to learn and to practice knitting on the highest level, with ease and grace. Your hands will thank you when you join.

Found KnitFreedom a few years ago and love it! Liat’s videos are so clear in both demonstrations and explanations. I’ve learned so much and have tried so many new techniques that I choose projects I really love without fear of them being beyond my ability. I know I can always turn to her videos to learn or refresh my memory.
