What a school! Our 11 year old son loves to go to his piano class. Our older son and my wife took voice classes. The teachers are experienced and knowledgeable and always in a happy, uplifting mood. Truly a kind, encouraging atmosphere. Reliable and efficient staff as well. We highly recommend Leading Note Studios!

My two grandchildren, ages 7 and 9, have been involved with Leading Note Studios, both the San Marcos and the Encinitas locations for over a year. The experience for both children has been extraordinary. These studios offer child-friendly opportunities in everything musical... music engineering, musical theater, voice, instrumental lessons and opportunities to showcase their talent and interests. Instructors are talented, encouraging and positive. The staff is professional, helpful and always friendly. Leading note is a lovely place. It is run by responsible people who care whether or not my child is learning anything. They have been very encouraging and helpful. My child is taking music lessons and participating in musical theater there as well at the San Marcos location. We are extremely happy with Leading note

Jacob H at the Encinitas studio is a real chart topper! My 6 year old boy loves getting piano lessons from him ❤️

Update: My son attended the Parent Night Out in Nov and was disappointed that he didn't get to play any instrument and he only did arts & craft for 3.5 hours. I signed him up based on his 1st experience at the San Marcos studio where he was practicing for a musical play and did a performance at the end. I checked with front desk at the Encinitas location and they said my son would be playing piano for part of the event. However, this is not true. Therefore, I DO NOT recommend the Parent Night Out event at the Encinitas location!

Our non profit has partnered with Leading Note Studio in San Marcos, for 2 of our programs for children with special needs.
Camille was lovely and promptly scheduled our sessions with Alicia.
Alicia was amazing! She provided a fun, interesting and top-notch music programs for our kids.
We will definitely be back for more fun at Leading Note!!

We signed our son up for piano here last year. In less than six months he was playing at a higher level than we expected. The staff and teachers level of professionalism is top notch. The owner genuinely cares about each student and what they’re getting out of their lessons. Since piano we have added on drum lessons and now even mom is going to take a guitar lesson that she always wanted to. Best of the best in my opinion.
