This is a casual, local restaurant where the fish is fresh and the service is friendly. First time visitors, we tried shrimp, salmon and flounder and all were delicious. Prices are reasonable and service was quick. Definitely will return.

My mom and I were passing through this area to drop something off and decided to stop and eat . The food was fresh, hot and really good . Our waitress was sweet and very welcoming . This is an hour from my home however we will return . The waitress advised this is family owned and the way it got its name and the family works here as well . Makes it even better and beats a chain restaurant any time

Ate there last night with friends and family for the 1st time. We had a variety of items from the menu. Everything we ordered was so fresh and delicious. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable about the menu. My only complaint was the portion of slaw was to small for how good it was. Will definitely be back.

The service was great. Food was good. The corn nuggets were great. The fried oysters need improving. Not much actual oyster and they were over fried. Everything else was good. Did not leave hungry. Will return.

$18 for 10 pieces of shrimp. That were swimming in some kind of salty steak sauce. No where on the menu did it say the GRILLED shrimp would be covered in Worcestershire sauce. I will not be returning. I’ve eaten here a couple times and each time I think, well I’ll give it another chance as family members rave over it. Not anymore. Plus- after watching the waitress use her bare hands to put lemons in the waters - I know I won’t be returning.

My friend and I was in the area searching for a restaurant.. it had good reviews.. but the beef tips were over cooked.. I asked for medium.. they were way past that leaning more towards well done & very dry and hard to chew
Potato & salad were both good
My friend ask how many shrimp came with the grilled shrimp.. it was more like an appetizer than a meal.. I almost started to get chicken or fish .. needless to say he said we would not be back..

Next day update: I feel sick as a dog constantly sneezing. I feel like puking I don't feel good at all it feels like food poisoning that's the only place I eat yesterday.

The food was good. The burger omg it was thick and I wasn't able to finish it I had to take it home. Our son loved the kids meal. He got a grill cheese and chicken tenders. My husband got the steak sandwich his only complaint was they leave a lot of fat on it and it was hard to eat in the sandwish. Also the fries have no salt or seasoning, but that's my only complaint. Other then that it's a good little place. I definitely recommend the loaded tator tots, and if you have a tiny stomach like me definitely get it as your meal, cuz they give a lot and it was good.

The staff, including the manager, was difficult. One of the young women actually found that her “feelings” were part of the conversation.

Without asking me a thing, the manager was rude. He never apologized for a thing. I wonder where he learned his managerial skills.

Neither the manager nor the wait staff took any responsibility for the temperature of my food.🙄

When I got home, the hush puppies, captain’s taters, and catfish were woefully over salted and everything was intolerably greasy.

This was never how anyone was treated at the Captain’s Table. My husband swore that that was the best place for a ribeye.

Almost on the Lake is much closer to my home and has much better food.
