A Fantastic Stay at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego!

We booked a two-night stay using points. Our original reservation was for a standard room with two double beds, but upon check-in, upgraded to a bay-view room with two queen beds! The hotel and rooms are so clean and comfortable, check out our gorgeous view!

The staff here are incredibly kind and welcoming, especially to young children. They're also very quick to respond - A 3-year-old girl got lost in the elevators during our stay and the staff—along with my husband—acted quickly to reunite her with her parents. I also accidentally left my credit card at one of the hotel’s restaurants, and it was promptly returned without issue. Housekeeping was also quick to respond to minor asks.

We're pretty familiar with San Diego and the hotel's location is awesome, with easy walking access to major attractions like the USS Midway, Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter, and Tuna Harbor. Great shopping and dining are all close by.

Overall, 10/10 highly recommend! Just a slight heads up, self-parking is $45/day.

Great location and wonderful property. Parking 🅿️ in the adjacent garage is both simple and convenient. Lots of choices or options for food and drink on site. This is our favorite hotel in San Diego for many reasons. For parents, the kids love the escalators in the Harbor Tower, and the conference areas are also wide open spaces to let the little ones get some energy out.

Great location, very walkable to most popular points. We loved the perks; bike and kayak rentals and harbor cruise tickets. Nice pool and gym and wonderful views! ||Cool bar and restaurant at the top of the hotel looking over the city.||||We would definitely recommend this property for your stay in San Diego!

Great hotel and location if you want to be near the water/bay. Close to the Midway Ship Museum and Seaport Village (for shopping). It's a fairly easy drive to Coronado Island and La Jolla for other activities. The King Bed Studio room was very spacious and had a great view. Service was good, room clean, no complaints.

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. The rooms are comfortable, and I would recommend upgrading to the upper floors with a view of the bay. I would definitely stay here again! Great location, next to Seaport Village with lots of restaurants and nice walking paths.

We loved everything about this hotel. Here's why:

Check-in: we were able to use the loyalty rewards line. The folks working at the front desk are always extremely smart and knowledgeable about the property and treated us with above and beyond care. Blaire P. from the front office is an absolute rock star.

The room: downtown San Diego rooms are all small, but this one is nice. Even though the beds are double size, folks on the small side can easily sleep 4. The room was very clean.

The lounge: amazing! The staff are very attentive and efficient to keep it clean and stocked with their offerings. I was blown away with their professionalism.

Parking: typical prices for downtown San Diego unless you are a Globalist booking with points.

Check-out: fast and efficient!

Stayed for four days end of January for a convention. Apart from it being huge and therefore lots of walking, it was fabulous. The lifts are clever- you tell a screen where you’re headed and it tells you which lift to go to!
The service was excellent- we were offered extra pillows and a kettle! (We’re English and drink tea!) though there was also a coffee machine in our room.
Views from our room were over the harbour. All in all, no complaints.

This is our second year staying at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego and we were just as pleased as our first visit. The staff are always so inviting, friendly, and attentive and the rooms are clean and well updated. Aside from the amenities and perks that the hotel has to offer it is also centrally located to the marina, multiple popular restaurants and coffee spots. We are returning next year for another conference and i will be delighted to return for another stay.
