Recently discovered this place and I love it - The local art community in little Ocala surprised me! The Call to Artists are always a fun challenge for local artists to participate and meet other local talent. Recently participatedin one and had a great time at the reception. The MCA is supportive of the Arts in Ocala in a big way! Ocala is not a Big City but the Gallery and monthly exhibits are so well done that it has a Big City vibe to it. I bring many newcomers to Ocala on my Food Tour and this is a favorite non-foodie stop. The staff is friendly, informative and love to brag about all that is Art in Marion County! Lots of One of Kind, museum type items in the gift shop.

Always so many fun events going on! Jaye, Ashley, Carol, and the rest of the staff and volunteers are always delightful. They keep changing things out, there is always something new to see and do. Love the idea of the kids yoga class, and really enjoy Sean T's music on Friday nights playing with the kids.

We hosted my mom's 60th birthday at the Brick City Center for the Arts. It is truly a hidden gem. The space was amazing, clean, and spacious. Working with the staff in coordinating the party was easy, and communication was phenomenal.

The art gallery was nice, but they picked a terrible time to have a kids event. I walked in, and the room was filled with nude paintings on the walls. Kids were at the table in the middle of the room doing Easter themed cards. It's good that they did a kid event, but seeing as the event with all the nude paintings was supposed to be over the next day, they made a bad judgment call hosting a "family friendly" event with no warning of nudity on the online posting.
