Livable Art

Each morning when I walk into my bathroom, I walk into a piece of art. My day begins surrounded by beauty that never fails to fill me with joy. If your environment makes you happy that joy spills over into your life every day.

Betty helped me through the design process during my bathroom remodel. We explored Moroccan, Avant Garde, but finally settled on vintage to match my 100-year-old house.

I wanted the bathroom to look like I had just walked into the Savoy Hotel in London in 1926 or a gorgeous house in glamorous Hollywood in the twenties.

Betty helped me select a way to incorporate Art Nouveau tiles into a gorgeous design.

Here’s the brilliant part of working with Betty and her sense of design. Betty didn’t copy vintage tile design. She took the essence of 1920’s design and made it contemporary giving the design a sense of wonder and beauty. You walk in and say, “this is a gorgeous, elegant, timeless, beautiful bathroom.” Betty put glass tile on the floor, rather than the walls. The room feels vintage, but modern. You know it’s great design. You don’t know exactly how it works, but it works. Betty has that great eye for art and beauty. She can transform a living space and make it livable art. I live in a piece of art. Thank you Betty.
