From a distance, the museum appears to be a pile of rusted junk, but it's worth a stop. The location itself has a rich history, including the milling of feldspar, which is used to make porcelain. The museum includes a shop where the owners restore vehicles. They are very passionate about their work and take years to do accurate restorations. The collection includes one-of-a-kind items such as a Curtiss jeep used exclusively in mid-century movies. Walking around, there are many unique vehicles on the lot. Free to visit (donations accepted). This is one of three historic sites in Campo, which include an 1880s shoot-out site and the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum.

Cool spot to check out. They ate looking for volunteers to help rebuild old vehicles. I recommend aspiring gear heads or people with talents head over and help out. They are all donations, no set fee, but bring some cash to support.

What a find to take a trip down memory lane (if you're old like me). A warm welcome by the member/guide (Brian?) who spent a lot of time walking us around and giving us a history lesson.
Free entrance but for sure leave a donation to keep this gem of a place running. They keep the motors running for you.
Thank you, Brian. We shall return.

If you love rusty old vehicles this is for you. Some of the vehicles here are 100+ years old. Photographers heaven. They do occasional Sunday night star shoots. The owner/docent was very friendly. It can be very hot, dress and prepare accordingly. Keep your eyes open for wildlife, including bees and rattlesnakes.

MTM is wonderful, like going back in time. Making the person walking through feel like a different dimension or portal is awaiting for you. Kinda weird but I like it ❤️ the guide ...'Lizard'.... is EXCELLENT ? I heard that he is a violin/fiddle player
You should hear Lizard and UKELELE Linda jam. They were jamming in the yard at the Motor Transport Museum one day and made the guests feeling like they lived in the 1950's. I highly recommend this place

Open Saturday only, great place to bring your kids to see how the cars started. Amazing place, with all kinds of old motors and machinery.

If you like rusty old trucks and refurbished trucks too, this is the place for you!! We spent about an hour here walking the grounds exploring rusty gold. There was a work shop where some gentleman showed us a few refurbished cars. There was no charge but donations were greatly appreciated.
