What a fun little museum with lots of interactive games and exhibits for kids and adults to play! Lots of local history presented in a fun engaging way. Play dress up in old timey clothes, drive the train on a video monitor & blow the horn, crawl in a faux lava cave and so much more. It’s a tiny place but everyone was loving it and having so much fun! Free but donations appreciated. Fun little gift shop corner too.

I was blown away by this "little" museum. From the front, it looks so small. It was free and we had so many fun things to actually touch. My adult daughters were so happy to use the old typewriter and other gadgets. It had lots of kids items that would be perfect for an hour or two of entertainment. The attendants are very informative and helpful. The gift shop was cute too.

Went to see the fish hatchery which we loved watching the fish try to jump the fence. The museum was very interesting. Facts about the history of the area. A lot of information on the volcanoes. The types of rock. The native American history. And a lot of artifacts. They don't have an entry fee but do encourage a donation.

This has got be the flagship of northern California s fish hatcheries, maybe all of California. I was beyond impressed. There's the museum, walking trails, picnic areas, the standard hatchery setup of cement troughs, as well as several ponds to view the fish. The ponds were used for the kids free fish day. And they are even building really nice playgrounds for the kids on the property. I will definitely be coming back to visit...
