Small with one exhibit area under development. Main exhibit in the art museum was about low rider culture.

Separate building next door for history (admission covers both) has nice coverage of local history from indigenous peoples through the 20th century.

The museum including 2 main building the classic old and modern building, classic one in 2 floors including precious painting from over 100 years ago to the more current items on upstairs. There’re also a lot of informative equipments like touch screens and audio systems which explain the county history and story of immigrants and population. There is an exhibition of wooden art works in the next building too which is valuable, take a look at my pictures, please.

My gal and I came here for the lowrider exhibit which was excellent. It is next door to the main space, which is a hundred year old post office that was saved from demolition in the 1980's. The building and their exhibits, from Sonoma county in general to beer brewing and a few others are just excellent. Well worth the $10 admission.

The Museum is located in a 1910 Post Office that was moved here from another part of Santa Rosa. It is beautiful, but unfortunately, closed right now for exhibit construction.

Great price for a day of looking at amazing art. Inside and outside.
My children love it.
They offer free parking.
If you need to leave for whatever reason you can come back later with your receipt and continue looking.
It's right downtown so it's easy to find and in a beautiful building with so much of its own history. Then curators know so much and are so willing to help with any questions you may have.
I love the little gift.shop they have.
