We love piano express! My 9 year old son has discovered such a love for learning piano with Jacob. He runs over to the piano to play when he wakes up, before bed, and frequently during the day. We can’t recommend Jacob and his teaching style enough!

My son loves this piano class! He instantly gravitated toward music after just one class with Jacob. He wants to practice everyday and looks forwards to his class each week. Jacob has created a wonderful program with a personalized instructional feel to it. It’s a Fun, engaging music environment that doesn’t feel like homework. We are so grateful we found this!

I reached out to Jacob in 2016 to inquire about piano lessons for my son CJ and future guitar lessons. He had been working with a teacher but I felt he needed someone he could relate with a bit better. Almost 7 years later, I would say we found the right fit. The journey for CJ and Jacob has been pretty cool. In 2017ish CJ decided he wanted to start playing guitar and with Jacobs guidance he has really tapped into this passion. In 2018 CJ decided he wanted to apply to the Orange County School of The Arts-Popular Music Program. He needed to learn an ACDC solo and Nirvana song. This required serious practice (and patience) which never would have been accomplished with out Jacob. He made it past the video round and was called in to a live audition which required more training to make sure he was ready for this day.
He was accepted in 2019 as a 7th grader and is now in 10th grade and thriving (still working with Jacob). Jacobs guidance was crucial for CJ to stay the course even on the frustrating days during the application process.
Since then he has played Whisky a GoGO, OC Fair, Campus JAX, The MINT and more. We owe so much to Jacob for his guidance and leadership with CJ. He goes above and beyond, and the kids just relate to him, it's that simple. Our daughter has started working with Jacob for the last year also with guitar and piano. So whether you have a student who just wants to learn to jam or is trying to get into OCSA, Jacob is your guy.

Our kids are absolutely loving Musicman in a Van!! Mr. Jacob is so nice and his method makes learning piano so fun!! Both our kids are fighting over the piano at home to practice and can’t wait to go every week!! Highly recommend!!

Jacob has been teaching my son guitar lesson for 10 years now. It has been a pleasure. Jacob is an outstanding teacher and has instilled a love of playing into my son. Jacob has been teaching my son music now for over five years. He teaches Donovan piano and guitar. Jacob has a soft and mellow nature which help the lessons flow in a positive way. He teaches the core fundamentals that help make the knowledge on how to read and play music, a success, while also letting Donovan bring in the songs he wants to play. Jacob has also taught Donovan how to restring his guitar as well as minor repairs. Donovan also enjoys the workshops that Jacob has a few times a year with all the kids. Donovan is now a teenager and still looks forward to his weekly lessons. Thanks to Jacob, Donovan has a bright future for the art, worth every dime!
