Nielsen staff was excellent. They spent careful time assisting what would look best for both art pieces. After careful consideration they discussed price options. Much to my delight the price ended up perfect. And cannot wait to see the framed art.

This is as good as a frame shop can get. Terrific and personable staff and the owner is also regularly there and involved / hands on. They have a quality selection of frame options and the work is top notch. No, professional quality framing at this level is never inexpensive and you should also be patient. A shop of this level stays very busy. Be prepared for it to take a couple months or more. It hurts to pay for but then it lasts for many many years. I am always happy I did it once I see their beautiful work on my walls. I can't recommend this shop enough. You won't regret it.

I have absolute confidence in this shop. They have framed several paintings for me over the past few years and done excellent work. When I buy paintings abroad I bring them exclusively to Nielsen Arts, knowing I can trust them to stretch the canvases perfectly. I drive two hours to make sure my art is handled by these pros.

Chris helped me and my Mom with a huge framing order, and he couldn't have made the transaction more smooth! The prices are reasonable for the custom frame work that they do. All of the employees are artists, and care for and respect the work you are leaving with them. I highly recommend them!!

I've had the team at Nielsen Framing repair a few items, and frame new pieces for our house. Everything is always done quickly and with great care. Everyone I've worked with at the shop has great taste, and pulls beautiful frame and mat options for me to consider. And, their shop is always full of art from local artists!

Patrick was not only helpful but enthusiastic about helping us get two very large original paintings framed and is obviously a very hard worker, let alone the fact that we left the paintings to be framed at his discretion and they turned out fantastic! No really, absolutely beautiful work.
I'm an intern at the Sierra Club SF Bay chapter located in Berkeley and was hunting around looking for framing shops who might help us by donating some framework for a silent auction, for which 100% of the proceeds were for the Sierra Club of course. Patrick was the fourth person that I'd contacted and against all odds he was very willing to help us out. I'd had two previous shops basically lecture me on how expensive and unlikely it would be that someone would donate their time and resources for such large paintings, but Mr. Nielsen was ready and willing to do the work and was very professional about it. I'd support his business any time over corporate framing companies given how realistic and personal he was about the job he took on. He was not out for a buck and like I said the work was fantastically crafted!

I've been in several times the last few months. These guys always take their time with me, and they have a great eye for detail. It's pretty common that I come in with an idea of what I want, and they suggest a tweak that makes it better. They're also real gents and always help me to/from my car. Highly recommended.
