NVAL is a hidden jewel of an art gallery, worth searching for in Caldwell Park, just west of the the skate park and Redding Aquatic Center and north of the Sacramento River. It's run by friendly volunteers and has some great exhibits of art works and photography.

I always appreciate local art... Well, maybe not always. But most of the exhibiting artists are competent and some are quite good! Staff has been helpful on all my visits!

Nice art venue in a lovely setting. Multiple rooms with very nice lighting. Friendly folks the day we stopped by and the quality of the art on display made the stop well worthwhile.

Not a helpful group of people. A couple months ago I sent an email and the answer was very short and impersonal. Their answer was an excuse. I called trying to get some information on a current show, finally a few days later someone actually answered the phone. I was told that they were closed during normal business hours due to the lack of gallery attendants Recently, I have sent a couple of emails which have been ignored.
