I was pleasantly surprised by the Norton Simon museum. They have an incredible collection of impressionist paintings including many pieces from Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec. The museum is not very large but the collections are impactful and offer a full breadth of art history from the 1500s and onwards. You don’t need to spend more than an hour in any one section and I recommend coming back multiple leisurely days to see it all. Happy art viewing!

This is a beautiful art museum with Western art from the late Middle Ages to very modern art. There is an outstanding collection of art from South and Southeast Asia in the basement galleries, don't miss it. The sculpture garden is under renovation but that is also quite nice. You've probably seen the outside of you ever watch the Rose Parade, But visit and enjoy the great art inside.

This art museum is a must-visit. Its collection is fantastic, and the space is well-maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the quality of art on display is exceptional. The museum features an incredible array of sculptures from South and Southeast Asia, as well as stunning works by Van Gogh and thought-provoking pieces by Picasso.

What a delightful afternoon. I had heard about this museum, and am thrilled I slowed down long enough to find it and explore.

My regret, I needed more time. Incredible private collection. Be sure you take time to see the film. Learn about Norton Simon and how the collection was created.

Loved the grounds. Make sure to have a half day to be able to leisurely see the collection.

Refreshments on the premises..so you can stop and fresh when you need a break.

The paintings, sculptures, and oriental collections were amazing and we could have spent days here. The outdoor sculpture garden was well organized and pond just made it more serene

Prepare to have your mind blown by the beauty in the collections here. Takes about two hours to stroll around this museum. Don't forget to head outside to the sculpture garden, where there is a cafe offering fountain and Italian sodas, coffee, beer and wine. There are also snacks like charcuterie plates with fruit, sandwiches, and pastries. Plenty of seating with umbrellas. Small children might find this museum boring, so I would suggested visitors ages 8 and up.

A diversity of art -- Early and High Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque, Impressionist and other European art. Some Modern and Contemporary as well. Famous works by Goya, Rubens, Monet, Renoir, Degas, Gauguin, Picasso, Matisse. The museum also has a fantastic collection of South and Southeast Asian sculptures. You will not be disappointed!
