I grew up on the backside of Encinitas and Olivenhain. When my wife and I were young (1988-1989) we would pull around back and, well, have relations. Great secluded spot back then. Don't know how it is now. We fell in love there.

A magical and historical community site! Please treat with respect. Encinitas is a great place to live especially with a council to keep it peaceful and pleasant. This area is technically public however it's generally frowned upon to just hang out here without being at a scheduled event or picnic.

Made of wood, and built in 1895! It's wonderful to see a structure in such fine condition. I hugged some of the massive Eucalyptus, and wondered what trees might have stood there when the building was first constructed. Worth a stop if you're nearby.

Driving by historical Olivenhain landmark brings smile to my face. Passed by here for over 20 years. It's a small place for photography sessions and pictures of 1880's nostalgic rustic themes. Quick 5 minute visit and quiet place to picnic. Tip: avoid during high traffic times 3pm-6pm
