Date of Visit: September 27, 2024
Ticket Price: $2 for adults,
free for children under 2 , free for parking.

We initially planned to only attend the Halloween event at the nearby Rail Park, but we unexpectedly discovered there was a zoo next to it where we could take a stroll. Although the zoo is small, the animals can be observed up close, which is fascinating. The black panther, in particular, was stunning — it’s rare to see one in other zoos, and the view was incredibly clear.

The zoo also offers scheduled feeding sessions with explanations, allowing visitors to get a good look at how the animals eat. This is a fresh and educational experience for both children and adults.

There is also a section where visitors can touch and feed the animals, which brings a lot of joy to kids and teaches them how to treat other species with kindness.

Such a lovely little zoo!! It's clean, they have a great variety of animals with educational information displayed. We had a really nice time!! My favorites were the cats, Mountain Lion, Serval, Jaguar, Leopard 🐆, and the Bear. I do also love the possum. It was a little busy on a Sunday but not extremely crowded. I highly recommend going! Parking was $5 for the park, and it was only $2 ea. to go in the zoo.

Came back to the Zoo for the first time since pandemic and couldn't believe how much it was improved. Now they have mountain lions, jaguar, panther, porcupine... And you can actually see the animals. Mountain lion was playing with a coconut, looked pretty happy. Place is nice and clean

What a great zoo! It's obvious how much care went into the exhibits, and the animal selection is nice. A good mix of local critters and some others from a bit farther away. Loved all the big cats! It's nice to have such a wonderful resource in the heart of OC.

Cute and clean little zoo. Seems like they are caring for the right animals that need the help. I would love for them to have the story of each animal there. There’s also a petting zoo. The big cats were so cool to look at. Also had a bear that brain trauma and a three legged big cat. Overall cheap, fun and clean place to bring the kids or a fun way to start a date!

Spent the afternoon doing the scavenger hunt pamphlet with my dad. Enjoyed looking for all the answers while looking at all the well looked after animals in their enclosures.

For a $2 entry to get it, it's a great way to spend an afternoon with family!

This is a very nice small zoo. It has great plaques and activities for kids to learn about the animals and conservation. They have lots of big cats as well! My personal favorite were the prairie dogs. They have a bathroom within the zoo for use and it is very stroller/wheelchair friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone!

This one is a small zoo so there are not that many animals but it’s a great place to hang out since there’s a huge park to picnic, and enjoy nature
