Both my children attend this place. They make me feel like my opinion or I don’t matter, only the other parent. I call for information or to set up appointments and I NEVER get a call back, last week Wednesday when I was in the office I asked the lady at the front desk (Maria) if they had an office in Vista, she said yes I asked her “what’s the number” “ call the same number you call.”

Right off the bat I can tell you that she didn’t want to help me and that’s how it feels each and every time I’m in the office. I’m pretty sure this review will give me even worse treatment\service moving forward, but just trying to save you from headache.

I asked her if she can look up the next available appointment since it’s the same number I’d be calling. She chuckled and looked on the system. She said he had a next available appointment, but she wasn’t sure if it was open or not, said the therapist would be coming in that same evening, and she would talk to him to check his calendar. I asked her to please call me back and she said she would. I explained I’ve been having issues with them calling me back and she just kept laughing and saying “ no no everything’s OK. I’ll make sure to call you back.”

Needless to say today, Monday, I hadn’t heard from her at all. I called and I explained my frustration and she kept laughing and talking over me. I don’t feel like she’s treating me with respect or being professional at all. The fact that she didn’t allow me to get one word in and kept talking over me. I also had an issue with the older lady as well that sits in the back. Point is it’s like playing Russian roulette with these people you never know what you’re gonna get.

I told her that I was expecting a call from her and she just kept chuckling which I don’t know what was so funny. She also said she was going to call the therapist to see if he was available or not when she should’ve done this last week. She said she wasn’t sure if it was available or not the date that she had told me about. Placed me on hold to supposedly call him, comes back and tells me that he didn’t answer and couldn’t verify the time or date.

When my sons school told me about Palomar Counseling Services, I was thrilled to hear they would come to his school to provide services. During the initial consultation discussing my child’s needs I was under the impression an ASL interpreter would be provide (As my child is Deaf and requires an interpreter). After the first meeting the counselor advised they do no provide ASL interpreters but would get back to me after researching alternative ways to gain an interpreter so they could provide services. Fast forward a few weeks, I received a phone call stating they can’t provide and ASL interpreter, all they have is Spanish/English interpreters. If a business is going to provide interpreters for one language they need to provide one for ALL languages!!!!

Very helpful. Take sliding scale patients who can't afford it or their insurance doesn't pay for it. I got a great lady whom I believe in time we will aid my severe depression. So thankful their are places like this willing to help those who can't afford it. It took me years to find them but, now have hope!! Thank you Palomar Family Counseling you likely saved my life!!

This place is an absolute joke. The woman at the desk started with an attitude the moment I walked in. I was informed I had to have something faxed in which was completely frivolous. After waiting 15 minutes I went to the window to ask. She was on social media ignoring me for a solid 60 seconds. The fax was already in the machine and she was too busy instagramming to help. Then the already frivolous paperwork was insufficient and I asked why and her terrible attitude went from bad to god awful. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. If you can go anywhere else to do what you need to do I would suggest it.

I would not recommend this place, they are very unprofessional, I have been told my “therapist” has dropped me! And has tried to get ahold of me by phone several times! But I have not received not one voicemail! Which in my opinion is very unprofessional. I believe that a company that is based on Menatl health and the concern and well being of the public community should work on a certain manner and have a lot more consideration then this place does. The receptionist tries to help but really has no understanding what’s going on.
I’m very disappointed to say the least. I have waited on the waiting list for several months for Escondido Palomar counseling and I’m not sure but I think by law the therapist has to make the client aware if they have been dropped from services, and if it isn’t by law, having some humane consideration would have been nice.
