This is a wonderful place to stop in and learn about a touch of History that surrounds this area. Things are still being discovered today in 2024 is they have an on-site archaeological area where they are cleaning and taking care of the things that have been found in the mounds.

Paved walking 3/4 mile trail surrounds the mounds as well as a dirt trail that is about a mile and a half long.

Restrooms are available on site outside outside as well as inside the gift shop area.

The gift shop area has all kinds of different things that you can choose from. You're guaranteed to leave with a memento of a visit that you'll never forget.

This is a must stop if you never been here and even if you have, it's a must place for you to return to. Enjoy nature and the history that surrounds it.

Plum Bayou Mounds Archeological State Park is a "plum" in a rather remote area. This is a must see for anyone living in or visiting the Little Rock Area. Truly a unique and valuable learning experience. Self-guided tour available, with a museum, artifacts, and a video and small theater room. Personalized, guided tours also available for a nominal fee. May God bless you!

A real gem of a park just a short drive from downtown Little Rock.

The trail was easy and fun, and our kids were genuinely interested in the history of the mounds. The rangers were all helpful, and it was cool to be able to see the people who were actively identifying and cataloging artifacts.

We will visit again!

It was amazing to see how much soil the Indians were able to move with just a tiny basket. Several relics they recovered from the site on display. Very helpful workers. Sodas were under $1 pwr bottle.

Seemed like a really interesting place. The mounds are much larger in real life. For some reason my doggo didn't want to get close to the mounds.

Awesome little park very close to I-40. Stopped in to have a look at the Toltec Mounds. Staff were very friendly and informative. Grounds and facilities were well kept and clean. The boardwalk was closed due to damage, but we were still able to take a walk by the lake.

We loved it. It was so beautiful and peace and quiet. Just walking around you'll get lost in your thoughts that's how peaceful it is. We will definitely be back. Good place to get exercise as well. One trail is 3.5 miles and other is 1.5 miles. Also check out the store they have there as well.
