So we came here mid August and did not see a polar bear. Sat for an hour or so before asking the front desk when was the best time. They told us right when they open in the morning because that is when they are fed. We are going back today (mid September) right when the doors open. My rating is primarily based on how the tanks are maintained. There is a clear glass at the top and bottom that you can’t even see through because it’s so dirty. So literally the only way to possibly see the beat is too wait for it to be on the deck on top.

I love this place with or without the kids. The trails are well maintained, even in winter. There are plenty of benches, a picnic area near the playground, restrooms in a couple of locations(gift shop, coffee shop, and discovery center). There are informative plaques and displayes near the enclosures. Its a great place no matter the time of year to get the kids out and moving, and to take your out of state guests as well.

Watching a live camera feed of this bear starving and being attacked and annoyed by a bunch of crows! As many times as I’ve watched this live feed I’ve never seen a person around or feed it or anything. Someone call PETA! Someone go help that bear!
