I got poor service and unhelpful
Questions in the deli department. It was a Mondnay about 11:00 AM. I was the only customer at the counter. There were several people working there but they completely ignored me. Finally
after several minutes, I asked If someone could help me. An older woman came over and I told
her I needed slices of ham and cheese. I was standing right in front of the meats. Instead of helping she kept asking me question about brands. She was rude and and not helpful.
I am an 88 year old man, well groomed and soft spoken. I have never been treated in such a condescending manner. Please train your staff to attend to the live customers first.

Please be aware that this store is charging you a connivence fee for your cash back. They clearly do not say that on the card pad but it is as clear as day on the big screen by the cashier .
Once I saw the 75 cent charge for my 20.00 I cancelled my transaction .. Cashier said run the card again, which I did and I informed her that I did not want to pay the fee. She looked away rolled her eyes and treated me poorly with a bad attitude, when I stated that they should have it on the pad to inform the customer of the charge.
I came home and goggled is this practice legal and it is NOT in the state of CA and there is a pending law suit against KROGER for doing so. This Ralphs is OVERPRICED and understaffed with rude individuals.

You can go to Staters or Albertsons across the street and there is no fees for cash back. I told a friend my story and her grandson wanted 100.00 back and they charged him 2.00 and he says they do it all the time.

I found this quote on line pertaining to this exact practice that we should not be charged.

Adding a cash back fee whenever a customer completes a cash back transaction using a debit card would violate these rules. According to one article, by assessing these "convenience" fees, Kroger, the parent company of Ralphs, Food 4 Less, and Foods Co., is able to take an extra $75 million a year from its customers. The fifty cent fees add up.

They are making 75 million more a year on just that.. now let that one sink in.
On top of that we also pay for a bag fee , ridiculous and unethical.

Check your receipts or better yet find another store to shop in for better prices, better customer service and no illegal connivance fees.

Went in today, store was not busy so able to go right to checkout. I had items saved on a list that were on digital special and I asked cashier to help me understand how to use the app so items could be charged at sale price. Cashier was very abrupt, was able to get my discounts bit still completely in dark how to use app. Needless to say I have no desire to return and be treated so rudely.

Extremely rude cashiers. Went in for a money order and the guy basically screamed at me that the registers were closed and money order registers are closed. Why the screaming? Very weird behavior at this location.

Went very last minute after work as I occasionally do. Several employees met me at the door which included Gregory that specifically stated Kendra the Manager closed early in which they then refused to assist anyone after midnight. Even though their hours state 1am.

In this case I needed to purchase dire emergency items and was not let through to purchase.

Customer service at this store is not good. So when a young gentleman I recognized from the Indio store says hi to me..I was confused then I was so happy to see him.He was the reason I shopped the produce at the other store..I thought he quit.I would like to say that you have a great employee working for you now...the nicest toughest guy I have ever met. I believe his name is Eddie.No matter what he is doing he always went above and beyond to get me what I needed. Keep it up my friend!

Nov 2024 Update: had friends from England here to visit. They got told off by the meat stocking guy for being in the way of him. Everyone is always so pushy at this store, staff and shoppers. If people are in the way, find something to do or find your own way. Thanks for proving us right when we told our friends how rude your store is.

Used to shop here my whole life practically but we have now switched to Albertsons across the street. The staff at this Ralph’s is rude, and not helpful or customer service oriented. The HUGE frustration is the Deli counter. After months of them taking forever to package 1/4 lb of sliced cheese, plus continual attitude from staff, bad self checkout machines, and obviously frustrated checked out store employees we just had enough. Albertsons has very very very kind people, and their deli is very efficient. Plus they take Apple Pay! Ralph’s does NOT.
