Playground: Dated, two different play areas. My kids had a lot of fun on the playgrounds as there was a lot to do for both older and younger kids. This playground may be old but it is still really cool and unique. The flooring is tanbark which they just added more and it feels safer. There is only two benches on the bigger kid playground but lots of shade from the giant shade sails. The playground was dirty with lots of apple cores, banana peels, lids from water bottles, etc. so I had to watch my toddler closely.
Bathrooms: Clean restrooms and short walk away from the playground at the community center.
Parking: There is a free parking lot on the opposite side of the park near the bathrooms. There is free street parking next to the playground.
Location: In a quiet suburban neighborhood off a moderately busy street.
Safety: Some unhoused, a ton of trash throughout the park and playground, plenty of people exercising and walking their dogs around. All in all this is a decent park but not in a great area. Certain activities like the musical drums for kids outside of the playground had urine on them and were disgusting. There are no lids on the trash cans so the crows throw trash all around the trash cans. This park feels neglected by the city.

I really like this park but unfortunately it's always trashed from the parties that people throw here. They don't really clean up after themselves and then the kids that play here. The parents don't watch them and let them just leave their trash everywhere all over the park. The Parks and rec service needs to come clean up this park more often cuz it's almost always messy. The playground looks trashed and the wood chips need to be fixed up as well. There's also a lot of trash mixed in with the wood chips

Very nice park. Rec center, indoor basketball& outside basketball courts, skate-park (medium, but fun), playground for kids, lunch benches and huge open field. Over all great park

People will always find things to complain about but on the overall this field serves as a place of enjoyment for young /old and everyone in between. I can't speak on the facility as a whole but my limited interaction with the staff has been positive and I commend the job they do for the community .I walk the field and pick up trash and hope others do the same .The park is an on leash park for dogs unfortunately I find myself breaking the rule in order to throw the ball and frisbee for my dogs which I am not proud of however we have been ambassadors for people who's culture has prevented them from experiencing the unconditional love and loyalty dogs bring to their humans . In closing I say to the park goers TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR PARK AND PICK UP TRASH

Spacious, clean park with playgrounds and a basketball court. They have 2 fun, colorful play structures set up for younger and older children. I love the fact that the playground area is fenced off all the way around (1 way in; 1 way out) ♥️ I also appreciate the canopy covers over each play structure. I know El Cajon has a homeless epidemic going on, but I didn't see any at this park during our visit.

Overall, a neat place to hang out with the kiddos and family or friends.

Chill skate spot. The slow bumps on the ledges are genius. If this was in Virginia it would be lit
