I "hiked" for 30-45 minutes! You can take different hikes and go deeper into the woods. I really liked it, saw plants saw stones I can chip to make arrows! Surround by nature!!! Very satisfying, only left with memories!!!

I've been running here for years and it's one of my favorite spots in the East Bay to get into nature. There are a variety of trails in terms of scenery, busyness, and even difficulty. I love to run here and have easily found one, two and three mile routes that could easily be expanded and customize. It is dog friendly, and yet in all the years I've been coming I've never had bad interactions with the off-leash dogs; it seems that people who bring their animals here know that they need to be friendly and well-behaved. The rangers do a great job of maintaining the trail and there are some sweet little stops where one could picnic, lunch, Etc. You could get lost in this park for hours if you wanted to, but it's actually very easy to stay on the trail and make a short trip of it if you don't feel like wandering. Despite being accessible and near the road, it feels like a world of its own and you can hardly hear the city sounds.

Easy place to start on many hikes in any of the nearby parks. One tiny bathroom available in the parking lot (wooden rectangle building, isn't necessarily obvious). Parking lot fills up quickly, but there is an enormous amount of street parking so not an issue at all even on busy weekends.

A good place to park for access to the South end of Redwood Park. Includes outhouse, water fountain, good hiking, off leash dog walking, mountain biking. Some of these trails don't have as much shade, so they are hotter than other nearby trails in the summer (and warmer in the winter).

So sad this beautiful park is mostly closed due to Covid 19. No bathrooms. No picnicking . As with many of our beloved parks safety is paramount. If we all observe the CDC and COMMON SENSE measures to protect each other, this time next year I hope to be able to review this lovely area with photos of me and my family enjoying this area 100% .WEAR A MASK. THANKS
