This is a small museum but well worth the visit. It has several vintage wartime aircrafts as well as some military vehicles from World War Two. All of the their items are well displayed. When I was there, the workers were very welcoming and inviting constantly asking if I had questions. One of them gave me a small tour on one of their exhibitions. One of the most unusual piece of history that they have is a part of the famous USS Battleship Arizona from World War Two that was sunk in Perl Harbor, Hawaii.

Don't miss the hidden gem in Vacaville: Rowland Freedom Center with big knowledge & friendly faces.

While it may be smaller in size, it still has a good collection and, most importantly, incredible volunteers who made it a great visit.

From the moment I walked in, friendly and knowledgeable volunteers greeted me with genuine enthusiasm for aviation history. They weren't just there to point at displays; they were eager to share stories, insights, and answer any questions.

Very nice air and military museum. They host a monthly "Cup of Joe" with free coffee and doughnuts for veterans and first responders. The first Saturday of the month, 9 am. There is always some good conversation.

The facility relies on donations and still manages to display an impressive selection of functional wartime aircrafts and memorabilia. The volunteers have done an incredible job providing the perfect amount of information for each exhibit. The weekend volunteer mike and his dog Sam were so friendly and knowledgable. We were able to climb up into and around the cockpit of a helicopter and even provided with a nice supply of complimentary jelly bellies. Overall this is a wonderful experience for the whole family.

Pro: free parking, public restrooms, special events for museum host variety of model trains & war vehicles & classic cars.
Con: small museum can see everything in under an hour so it's best to visit during special events when most on display.
