It's a great clean campus. I do the SJCHS program and I would love to see some more students here. If you are a parent or you know someone with teens about to go into highschool I would definitely recommend it.

The advisory process is very disorganized and they are “walk in’s” only. The staff have no respect for people’s time and tell you to just wait. We (along with at least 3 other students I talked with while waiting) had to come back 3 times to see an advisor. We were told to “just come early” and when we did come 30 mins before opening, the staff was 10-15 mins late. Then the advisors sit around and chit chat- get coffee- more chit chat. You wait over 30-45 mins just to check in and are told to come back. The system is broken. They need to have times available for scheduling- we are WORKING adults with schedules, kids, lives. To be expected to come back 3+ times and “just wait” is not acceptable. The public schools have better systems in place. If we are paying for this, the system definitely needs improvement and changes. This is not acceptable for a college.

The academic advisor I had was very friendly but not helpful. I had both of my transcripts sent from previous schools, and the program I wanted to get into I had already acquired credits from a previous college with the same accreditation. This advisor couldn’t get in touch with the program to tell me which of my credits would transfer over, and I did not want to retake a bunch of classes. I’m disappointed they just want to enroll transfer students but won’t take the time to make sure they have the best chance at success with the most efficient education route.

It's an OK school. Not great. Some instructors are great. Some are worthless. My only true complaint is about the security staff. They are a bunch of retired military and ex law enforcement who are just playing cop now and think they have all the power in the world. Pretty sad.

Never had good luck with the administration side of things. Paid for classes then show up and I'm not enrolled, classes cancelled without notification, etc. Teachers have been mostly great once you can get into a class. Great options for students and community outside of classes (events, etc).
