It is run by Captain Cass. Entrance is free ,but donations are welcomed. We can buy some items made out of glass collected from the beach. It is open throughout the year except on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day from 10 am-5 pm.

It’s a quaint little shop with all the usual trinkets and thingamabobs, but not what I would call a decent collection of touristy collectibles. I thought there would be more history and lore but it’s just a quant little Trinket shop. Still cool to check out once.

Very nice museum of glass & their classifications. The collection is extensive and as others say, more than you'll see at glass beach!
The gentleman there is Capt. Cass Forrington, a gem himself! I implore you to pick up his DVD while there in the museum. The Universe, The Creator and you. An excellent video on connecting dots on everything.
If you'd like souvenirs to take home, they're also available here for shelf pieces or puzzles.

The museum is located inside a mall of sorts that has a salon and restaurants and other stores. It's a very colorful museum with all the different types of glass found. The rare purple from old apothecary bottles. The vaseline glass that glows under black light. Learning about what items these pieces used to be was interesting. It's free but donations are encouraged. There is also a gift shop with all types of glass art and jewelry as well as other items. I think it's worth a visit before heading out to Glass Beach to look for your own treasures.

You will find more glass here than glass beach so I would say it’s a must visit place.

They do have different varieties of glasses and it is really amazing to see how the nature turned the man made glasses to gem
