I attended the Dark Academia event and had a complete blast! I was so in my element in the natural history museum. Then add some really fun and cool hands on make and takes like creating an art tile with alcohol inks and fire, making woodcut prints of a venus flytrap and a beetle. The best part for me was pinning my own beetle to take home. I see a new hobby in my immediate future. It is such a great museum with super friendly and informative instructors and staff. I hope there are more adult events in the future.

Loved it! We spent about an hour here and didn’t even finished reading it all! Almost all of the items placed were donated (the elephant and hippopotamus skulls were awesome!) Everything was beautifully places throughout from the 38 ft long whale hanging from the ceiling to the 4ft tall amethyst to the hummingbird nests!!

We only paid for parking ($3) and the museum was free to check out. Definitely recommend this

Been meaning to go to this museum for some time. It's a nice, compact version of exactly what you get in larger natural history museums but conveniently without a commute out of the Sacramento area. We went for Dino Days and it was a nice event worth the admission price.

My 3 year old son and I attended our first one! What a special event they hold free first Saturday of the month! Everyone was so nice, they offered many stations where the kids can explore and make things! We look forward to coming again at the next even in October! Great place for kids!!!!

Great compact museum for 60-90 minutes for a curious 5-10 year to explore and connect to school/readings. Has a little bit of everything.

An amazing museum in a small space, but with new discoveries even after visiting for many years. And it only costs the price of parking.
