Seems like they do great work, but if you are walking be careful around this place. I was recycling some cardboard in the bins before this establishment (at 9:15am). Carried a big stack of cardboard to the bin, and the lady driving from Solana Center told me to watch out because they had a 9:00am meeting and I might get run over. That's a bummer that they want to drive that fast from their important meeting that they can temporarily yield to a pedestrian that's trying to recycle.

Went there to drop off e-waste. Staff was awesome and I was more than happy to fork over a $5 donation. Lines can get long but they're efficient. Kudos to the Lion's Club for helping out.

Solana Center rocks with their environmental programs for all. Vermacomposting, e waste recycling, water shed education,, rain barrels,, bockashi bucket exchange, and many educational programs for city of Encinitas and whole San Diego County. Great place to volunteer.

If you're interested in learning how to compost or do vermiculture, this is the place to go. If you're a resident of Encinitas, you can get a subsidized worm bin for vermiculture composting. Probably better off getting red worms by mail order, but if you can't wait, they have them too. Odd hours make it a bit difficult to know when they're open.
