Made a non-refundable booking, went to pay the deposit, the deposit went through with my card but they refused to acknowledge it or refund the room. Paid for a hotel room and a $250 deposit and got nothing.

Edit: looks like they charged the deposit twice, so I'm out about $650. Oh, and of course 5 dollars for parking for the 20 minutes I was there. So $655.

At check in was talked in to a membership for a better view. It was except windows so dirty could barely see out of it. Was told it would be $25 for parking. But charged $35 upon exiting. Canceled membership and will not be back. What a bday.

The front desk workers Brooke and Moises were very helpful during my 5 night stay. It did not matter if it was for my business or hotel needs they were there to help and they made my stay very enjoyable. I will come back to this hotel because of the great customer service I received from Brooke and Moises the week before Christmas in 2024. Thank you for your service during my visit.

Positive: The staff was great. Having a restaurant on location was also great. Negative: The morning breakfast took time. The young lady taking orders needs help making specialty coffee orders, taking payments. She was running around so fast trying to help guests it just didn't seem right making her work so hard doing it all by herself.

I would give this hotel five stars ... (the rooms were very nice, comfortable, and clean; the service was accommodating and friendly; and the views were awesome) ... BUT:

There was EXTREMELY strong synthetic fragrance being pumped into the air through the central air systems. Windows couldn't be opened, and the smell was so overpowering that my eyes were watering and it stung my throat. On my floor, it smelled and felt as if 100 bottles of cheap cologne had recently been smashed on the carpet.

I, personally, don't even have scent sensitivities, but if you do, DO NOT stay here. And if you have asthma or allergies to fragrance, forget it. This place will put you in the hospital.

So, three stars, ONLY because of the smell.

Which is sad, because, as I said, everything else was great.

I will never stay at this hotel again! It was a very mediocre hotel with a super outdated, extremely low to the ground and dangerous toilet in the bathroom. But the worst experience was after I checked out and they charged me for parking, and drinks I did not purchase. I told them at check in I did not have a car. I used Uber and Lyft the entire 4 days. It took over 5 different phone calls to get the correct adjustments. I think it's an organized scam they are running! No business could be that incompetent!

Beautiful hotel with large clean rooms and an amazing view of the city. My only complaint is that upon booking I was told the room included breakfast and the following morning when attempting to get breakfast was informed it was not included.

I never stayed here before, but wanted something convenient when I went to game day in Berkeley. Rooms were really clean. Staff was really friendly. Only thing I would say was that the bathtubs could probably use a deeper cleaning, but they weren’t disgusting. The fridges are nice in the room, but would be really convenient if they had small freezers as well.
