I previously leased an office at Spaces, and I have several concerns that potential tenants should consider before committing to this location:
- Frequent Accounting Errors: I encountered numerous billing mistakes, leading to overcharges on my rent, which was frustrating and displeasing given I always paid on time and it should always be the same price. Mistakes where constantly made over $5,000 of additional charges which I had to dispute with them and go back and forth.
- Cleanliness Issues: They never clean the floors mopping and constant dibrees is dragged into the work area. My office it selve had tons of dust when we moved in from paint that was never cleaned. Also the bathroom stalls flushers don't work leading in people leaving shit in them for days.
- Unreasonable Charges for Lighting: The office had different color lights in every light, and I was unexpectedly charged for requesting to change the lights in my office to all the same which was was $60 per bulb completely unreasonable.
- Power Outages: During my one-year lease, the building experienced power outages more than 20 times, often while employees were working, causing significant disruptions.

Overall, I would strongly advise against leasing office space at Spaces. My experience was marked by poor corporate customer service from Regus, and the building remains largely vacant despite its high costs.

STAY AWAY! I would give this company 0 stars if that was an option.

Their sales team sold me on 2 accounts for a certain price.
Immediately after signing up, I was charged over 300% this promised price.
I immediately requested the accounts to be closed via 3 separate channels.
Their sales person refused, saying it was my fault to not know the nuances of their accounting practices, which he failed to disclose.
Their help team has not responded at all, after creating multiple tickets on their website.
Their reception team at the office has not responded to email, nor phone calls in the past two weeks, after stringing me along promising resolutions that never happened.

This is my first time encountering a business whose practices are not just negligent, but criminal. All the while they refuse to cancel my accounts or acknowledge the situation at all, they continue sending me new invoices, late fees and threats of legal action for charges I never agreed to. At my wits' end.

Spaces Emeryville has an incredible vibe; modern comfortable work spaces with the most exquisite view. But, the best part is the welcoming and sunny hosts in Jojo and Imen. They greet everyone with a smile and make sure each day at Spaces provides a fantastic experience. It is easy to focus and be productive in this friendly and warm environment.

I wanna send a shout-out to Imen and Emma for creating and sustaining a vibe at 1900 Powell on fl7 that transports the spirit to a calming, magical space. Views? Check. Chill cool customers? Check. Friendly, helpful and hella girls rock at the front desk in Imen and Emma? Big Check! When I stepped up in the place; I knew instantly and magically, I was in the SPACE to be--forever. Thank you both for creating and making space for those of us who long to fit in in our own skin. This place is the space to tap on, wax off, and create.
