Our group comes every year. Everything is first rate - the friendly staff, great food (including accommodating people with specific needs), peaceful grounds, huge bedrooms, and close proximity to the greater Phoenix area. Please keep up the great service!

We love this place! It is quiet, tucked away in the mountains with incredible views of Black Mountain and the Tonto National Forest mountains! It is a lush Sonoran Desert campus as well so you get a very real surrounding of desert flora and fauna. The fountains--they are awesome! All this scenery provides a truly spiritual atmosphere. The rooms are large and comfy and quiet, love the private balconies! The pool is so clean, the hot tub soaking under starry night skies--yeah--can't get that in the city. Best of all though is the hospitality. The staff there is incredible at making your stay a memorable event. The food is delicious and so much to choose from. Their chefs make everything by scratch--even the salad dressings! The one large conference room has one glass wall looking out onto the desert and Black Mountain! There is also a labyrinth and a meditation hiking path. You are a 5-minute walk from Carefree which is a neat eclectic town whose main streets are Ho and Hum ... you can't find a more peaceful setting right on the "city's edge!" Oh, it's clean air up there as well since it's elevation is 2900'. If you want a getaway that is truly quiet and lush, this beats a hotel hands down.

This was a fantastic retreat center. The staff was so pleasant and helpful. Beautiful views, amazing food, and a georgus campus! My room was perfect, overlooking the pool, with a magnificent view of the mountainside which made for beautiful sunrises and sunsets! I highly recommend!
