Super cool shop! I loooove when folks take what could be waste or trash and make magic. Lots of creative things here. Lots of gifts. The price point is a little bit but everything has a story and a unique look. They even have a small industrial factory, they accept clothes and they have cool workshops and classes.

I cannot say enough good things about SUAY. We came from out of state and reluctantly made the trip after seeing their instagram reels. Expecting a tourist trap or overrated store we went in with low expectations. However these assumptions were far from reality. All the garments and items we saw were extremely high quality and “made” on site. On top of this the staff were all extremely kind and accommodating even allowing us to see the “factory” in the back. Only down side is prices BUT I think you get what you pay for. Highly recommend trying them out

I love Suay! I've had a great experience getting clothes dyed via the community dye bath. I have a penchant for ruining light-colored clothes with random stains and grease spots and this is a great way to spare them from the landfill. It's also fun to take your clothes that are still in great condition and transform them into something way more exciting.

The store is also full of incredibly cool original clothing, pillows, and textiles. You can really tell a lot of thought and care goes into everything they do here. And the staff is so nice.

If you're not local, check out the website for mail-in options.

Love their mission and what they're doing to curb waste and up cycle clothing. I brought in 3 items - top, tank top, and a strappy dress. They messaged me saying the tank top developed tears to the point where it was irreparable. This was pretty disappointing to hear because it was my mom's tank top she gave to me -- it's a plain white tank top that she's had for years.

I picked up the other items and one of the straps on the dresses looked like it came off in the process so now it’s literally hanging on by a thread. Showed the photo to them and they said “it endured some wearing through the process, a pretty common occurrence"...

So basically only 1 item came out not damaged. Honestly the process seems rough on clothing so I wouldn't recommend bringing any delicate clothing and just DIYing it yourself.

Obsessed with Suay and their mission. I love the dye baths, and while they are a bit pricey (as is mending) I also acknowledge that's just the cost of getting this done at a place that cares about the environment, fashion, and labor. Cannot recommend them enough!

Suay is INCREDIBLE. I can't say enough good things about their company and mission. I have their pillows and cushions, which I've used to make a daybed. They are comfortable, cute, and I constantly get compliments on the color and feel. I also recently got some unloved garments re-dyed and they are stunning. The color is evenly distributed and exactly as advertised. I'm so grateful that Suay exists and am excited to see the way that they inspire seismic shifts in the fashion/garment/home goods industry.

This review is specifically for the mail in dye bath. I sent 2 items in via mail back at the end of July. I had an initial email stating that I would be notified progress along the way and to expect my items around the end of August and Mid Sept. It’s now mid Oct and I still don’t have my items nor have I heard an update. I inquired about 2 weeks ago via the original email and heard nothing. I inquired again via a new email thread and got half of the answer as to where my items were.

At this point I’m assuming the company lost my items. I really wanted to like Suay. What they are doing is so good. But they aren’t scaled properly to handle orders that aren’t local.

So far the customer service has been terrible. Not answering my questions is leading me to request a charge back on my card. Obviously my items are gone. Which bothers me. I liked those pieces hate that I don’t have them anymore.
