I had the best experience today at the arraignment for a ticket I received in Lakeside last July. I missed the original Superior Court date, which was on a Monday. I had to go in to the business office in order to put myself back in court for this offense. (I'm 4th Waiver). Anyway, long story short -- 20 Meetings in 6 months and the ticket goes away... 🙂

Dirty hwy cops(cops name is A. Griffiths) and broken court system. I didn’t know my rights and I stupidly believed the court system was honest. I was pulled over after followed for 7 miles and the cop decided to put on his lights before i pulled in my driveway cause he had no reason to pull me over, I was simply the only car on the road that late at night as I came back from work. He had no reason to stop but he did and said he smelled alcohol and failed me on a field sobriety test. When I went to court I was surprised he put down I was going 80 in a 65(I had the cruise control on 60 so it was impossible cause I know cops will stop anyone that late at night). The public defender said the cop needed a reason to pull me over so that’s why he lied about it unfortunately it’s your word vs a cops so all you can do at this point if you fight it was make it worse. I figured I’d listen to that attorney and I was broke living paycheck to paycheck so it couldnt hurt. The court ended up putting me on 5 years probation, worked my butt into the ground with community service, fined me thousands of dollars and I became homeless for 2 years with no vehicle during COVID. Years later I’ve moved to a country town and there’s no dui schools here so I’m unable to get my license back. I’m completely stuck and it’s ruined my life. Ive bicycled to work 3 hours each way for a 4 hour shift along a hwy and risk my life everyday just to keep a roof over my head and provide food for me and my dog. I’ve wanted to kill myself through all this and my dog is what keeps me going. I’ve lost all faith in our system and I always wondered why people hate cops and now I’m one of them!!! Shame on this court house for knowing it was wrong and still throwing the book at me. Once this is all over I’m exposing the crooked system they have going and hopefully we can start a class action lawsuit and nail this county for all the damages they’re responsible for!

Losing my faith in cops and the justice system. I never understood why people were always anti cop. For me, I understood that not all cops are bad or abuse their power. Unfortunately, that seems to be less and less the case.
Just recently, my fiance and I were pulled over, and the officer said we were going 90mph it was at night, and we were going downhill. So maybe that was the case. What we didn't realize until my mom pointed it out is that he put 105mph+ on the ticket. The judge didn't care to listen to my fiancé who had never been pulled over and who had received multiple awards for safe driving over 10years through FedEx. Because the cop lied, he has ruined us more financially as it is a $800 dollar fine and two marks on his record. We haven't found out what the insurance is going to be, but we are devastated. What is happening to the justice system and being an honest cop. You guys are supposed to be here to protect the people. If the cop who so smugly won this because of course his word against ours with no evidence (yes, we should have hired a lawyer), sees this, I hope you feel some kind of remorse. What if this had been your child.

I took a vacation to California in June of 2021, by October I have had $176.00 chagred to my credit card by this court for no reason. They did not give me a letter, a phone call, nor a notice. They just started charging my card.

When I called, they did not answer the phone. They have a window of answering phone calls from 8:30am to 11:30pm. I'm currently sitting on hold for over 30 minutes.

Unacceptable!

I’m not sure who’s failed idea it was to use this horrible automated system but, they should be fired. The telephone options or lack of human assistance will literally drive a person mad. I’m sure this was by design. Just the worse system. It is San Diego so can’t expect much but, damn. Egregious.

Can I give 0 stars? The "service" this place gives to the community shows exactly what is wrong with our government. Nothing works like they state it should. If you have to call and speak to a clerk, don't bother. You can call at 10:00 AM, be on hold for an hour and a half, and at 11:30 they will disconnect your call and you will not speak to anyone. It would be more efficient taking time off work and waiting in a long line for two of the slowest traffic clerks you could ever imagine. I think the court tells their employees to take slower steps and not work too fast because you can literally see it. Also, the website is always down. I go to make my traffic payment and hey, they servers are down for sdcourt.gov… again. Then I call to try to pay my fine, one number (East County Division) provides no help and routes you to an "automated service" that isn't automated at all because it puts you on hold saying "Your call will be answered in the order it was received." Thanks for the service, you really are a shining example for the people. What a joke.

Lazy, unhelpful, expensive, and inefficient. It doesn't matter what you need they can't help you. You will wait literal hours regardless of whether you call or show up in person. At best you will be repeatedly redirected to a different department, but most likely you won't be able to accomplish anything. Worst part is they FORCE you to deal with them. They don't care about people, and the don't care about any reviews. They care about draining bank accounts, because that's all we are to them- bank notes. Their reputation is garbage and its not going to improve so long as they can keep pumping money out of people.

They answer phones right away but when you try and call back they NEVER answer the phone. Thats bad for business. My husband had a meeting and they werent even answering his call when he tried calling back. We feel like its disrespectful toward us, especially him.
