I visited with my friends, and this place is amazing! It was a very informative experience, which included the museum, video, and wonderful stories and explanations by Vivian! She is truly captivating and keeps you engaged. I appreciate Sake much more after this experience. Reserve tastings in advance because they do sell out!!!

Went there for the sake tasting. I can’t believe it’s only $20 for 5 different sakes. There are optional ones you can add, I would avoid them if it’s your first time. You’ll get the full range and next time you can spend extra on the stuff you like rather than experimenting on some of the higher end ones.

The staff is extremely friendly, I am not super fan of sweet fruity sake, and they offer to change it for something else they recommended.

Overall, pretty great experience.

One of the best gems of Berkeley. Two options for sake tasting. Our presenter was amazing and was very informative. It was a great time mixing with others at the tables. 10/10 and would return again ! Best for holidays with the family.

Very nice tasting room, and very knowledgeable staff made for a pleasant tasting event. The sake was also very good, and I found a new favorite. For our tasting event with about 8 people, we stood around the host for the entire tasting of 6 item, which would have been better if there were seating. They have seating, but it looked like it was set up for a catered event (so plates and silverware - unusual for a tasting room). But it was a good experience, and seems to me to be a good value too. The hostess was delightful, and we were treated to an additional “bubbly” sake, which I didn’t even know existed, but is now my new favorite. The whole event is worth doing. Expect to have a craving for sushi afterwards. There is a nice Japanese restaurant in walking distance, so that was a bonus. When I want on Sunday afternoon, there was plenty of free street parking near by.

Small, intimate museum and tasting room. I spent 2 hours here chatting with my guide, Mariko. Highly recommended for sake enthusiasts.

Came here for a sake tasting with some friends. Tastings are by reservation only and start with a short educational video. There is a $15 tasting menu and by the glass options. All were great and our host was amazing.

Came with four people, all had a good time. Generous amount of sake for $10 tasting flight. Museum was small but informative and video was short enough. 15% discount on sakes purchased after tasting, walked out with 3 bottles for $20. 👍
