The Tampa Museum of Art was a great experience, I went over the weekend and it was not too busy with plenty of interesting exhibits. Both historically significant and more modern art were on display, and admission is completely free for college students! Take the time to stop by if you're in the city.

The museum is situated along the Hillsborough River in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, right next to the Riverwalk, making it a convenient and scenic location for visitors. During our visit, we had the opportunity to explore a special exhibition on the first floor showcasing artwork created by high school students, which was impressively crafted and demonstrated remarkable talent.

The museum's modern architecture is striking and complements its extensive collections and exhibitions, including contemporary art and Greek and Roman antiquities. We also appreciated the special exhibition by Guyanese artist Suchitra Mattai, titled "Bodies & Soul," which provided a unique perspective. The ongoing contemporary collaborative project "Skyway" also featured several thought-provoking artworks that left a lasting impression on us.

Overall, I strongly recommend visiting this art museum; it promises a rich, enlightening, and inspiring cultural experience.

The Tampa Museum of Art is a gem in the city's downtown area, offering a vibrant and authentic experience that's both enriching and inspiring. From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by a dynamic atmosphere buzzing with creativity and inspiration.

The museum itself has a diverse collection showcasing a rich tapestry of artistic expressions, spanning across various genres, mediums, and cultures. In fact, each exhibit offers a very unique perspective that includes interactive displays, educational programs, and guided tours.

An added benefit is the museum itself is a work of art, with its striking architecture and scenic waterfront location. We strolled through the galleries but really enjoyed the panoramic views of the river. Every moment spent here was a true delight!

The Tampa Museum of Art is a stunning fusion of modern design and artistic depth. Its shimmering aluminum exterior and light-filled galleries create a space as inspiring as the art it houses. Inside, the collection is a vibrant mix of styles and cultures, with a focus on abstract works from South America and the Caribbean that pulse with color, emotion, and energy. This bijou museum is a celebration of creativity across continents, offering a perfect balance of architecture and artistry. A must-visit for those seeking beauty and inspiration.

Great exhibition and the place is well taken care of. Went there a few months ago for a CandleLight show and came back to take a look at the current art.

Visited with the family and had a nice time viewing the different pieces of art. The ancient art was very educational and the more modern pieces were a feast for the eyes! The museum is laid out well and in an excellent location by the riverwalk. The staff was helpful and friendly.
My only reservation was that there was a lack of classic art (Renaissance, neoclassical, romanticism, realism, and impressionism). Still worth visiting if you have never been, you won't regret it!
