Like with all things you get out of it what you put into it. This school while challenging helps prepare you for what life in the studio is like. I went through both programs and got my Bachelors here and have been enjoying the life of an artist since. All of my friends who attended with me got a job in this industry and thank DAVE School for that. I have been to multiple studios who have numerous DAVE alumni. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

I became very succesful after graduating despite how terrible this school is. Going here was a waste of two years & 36k. I have terrible memories of the staff & often regret having attended. I later went to a 4 year university with actual teachers & got a real degree.

I attended The DAVE School back in 2009 and I had a job lined up as a VFX artist that started within 2 weeks of graduating! This was a fantastic experience for me and I highly recommend it.

Doing 4 because I didn't even make it to the getting information part but it feels unfair to judge the whole school because of one person's demeanor. After constant calls and texts multiple times a day for the past four days, I was able to answer one because I was waiting for a previously scheduled phone call but I wanted to tell the rep, Jewell, that I'd get in touch soon. I'm asked if I have any time today to speak and I say no, because I do not. She says okay, I start to say have a good day and I hear the phone click because I've been cut off. Maybe it was intentional, maybe it wasn't, either way it doesn't feel good to feel like you're being treated like your time isn't valuable when the person making you feel that way does not know you and is also supposed to be helping you with your future. I may come back and get more info another time but for now I will be looking elsewhere.

You learn the ins and outs of the vfx and gaming industry but ultimately it get out of the program what you what you put in. They can't possibly teach you everything but they give you the cue knowledge and it's then up to you to apply it

Nothing but lies. I was told that I would be able to continue working while attending school. Not the truth. They also don't tell you that most of the work gets outsourced. If you have a family, you're not going anywhere. Think twice before moving forward with this school. Owner is only interested in making money, doesn't care about people's careers.

My son Trevor jr attended a seminar at Dave school 2022 just for a weekend. Trevor did get a job as a photographer elsewhere. I believe when he was applying for the job, he mentioned attending Dave's seminar. April 2023. Hip, hip, hooray.
