I hesitated to write this review cause I've heard nothing but good things about the Fade Room; two of my boys have been getting cuts from Trent for years and have never had a bad experience. Everyone's chill, too, and it seems like an independent shop; each barber runs his own gig and the store takes a piece.

But my Lord, I was not prepared for what I would receive. I came in asking for a low-taper fade, short on the top but not buzz cut short, and don't push the hairline back too much. I left $45 lighter, with an indescribable cut.

I do not understand how it is possible to mess up a cut this bad. I've paid $7 for a cut better than this. I've cut my own hair, and it has looked better than this. I've had chunks of hair cut out of random spots on my head for genetic testing and it looked better than this.

I thought, man, maybe it's just me, but then my mom said it looked rough. Then my girl said it looked rough. Do you know how bad a cut has to be for your mom and your girl to say it looks bad?

I thought, man, I'll reach out to the barber, and see if I can get it fixed. He sent back $15 and said "yeah I'll gladly fix you up". Bmac said he wasn't tryin to do a whole new haricut when I got there, rather he'd "fix up the parts I don't like". He buzzed the top to a #6 and I left in a beanie, hiding my onion looking head from onlookers.

The worst part about this whole ordeal is I knew darn well the first time I stood up out that chair that this was beyond messed up. I knew darn well my hair looked unbelievable. But I still dapped him up, left $45, and said "this the best cut I've had in a long while".

It was the worst cut I've had in a long while.

I’ve been coming to Wayne since 2016. I’ve followed him his old shops to here. I admire that he’s been able to take the laid back, friendly, and professional demeanor that has made him a trusted barber for me and apply it to the whole shop. The environment is very welcoming. I’ve recommended this place to friends, family, and students. They come from all different backgrounds and still no one has come back with anything but positive things to say about their experience. The barbers will talk to you about anything from sports to the details of an event that you’re getting the haircut for. If you are quieter and prefer a quiet haircut, that’s fine too. This is truly an inclusive place for everyone. Lastly, I’ve never been disappointed with a haircut. In my 8 years, I have a 100% satisfaction rate. As someone who wanted to find a permanent place to get my cuts, this place is perfect.

The Fade Room is best barber shop in Elk Grove. Wayne is an experienced elite professional barber that consistently delivers the fade you’re looking for. Wayne and the Fade Rooms customer service is next level and second to none. The shop is extremely clean and cozy. The Fade Room is located within a safe comfortable area and is a vibe for any customer. Highly recommended 5 stars salute.

I have been going to the fade room to see Wayne for over 2 years now. He cuts my boys hair and gets them right every time. He is always very respectful and more than anything my kids are comfortable and happy after their hair cuts. it was a struggle to find a dependable Barber. He is the reason, we will also go to the fade room.

When I come into the barbershop and need a cut, Jae is the barber I go to. He is the barber I would schedule an appointment for. He is very skilled in a variety of haircuts, especially fades.
