I recently visited the Flower Fields in Carlsbad, and I can honestly say it was absolutely beautiful! The vibrant colors of the blooming flowers created a stunning landscape that was a feast for the eyes.

Walking through the fields felt like stepping into a painting, with rows of brilliant flowers stretching as far as the eye could see. The variety of blooms was impressive, and each section offered a unique burst of color and fragrance. It’s a perfect spot for photography, relaxation, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature.

The staff were friendly and helpful, providing information about the different flower varieties and the best spots to take photos. There were also lovely pathways and areas to sit and enjoy the scenery, making it a great place for a leisurely stroll.

If you’re looking for a beautiful outdoor experience, I highly recommend visiting the Flower Fields. It’s a truly magical place that showcases nature’s beauty at its finest. I can’t wait to return..

A Breathtaking Springtime Experience

The Carlsbad Flower Fields are an absolute must-visit when in season! The endless rows of vibrant ranunculus flowers are truly breathtaking and make for the perfect springtime outing.

One of my favorite parts was seeing the butterflies in the Butterfly Garden—such a magical touch to an already stunning setting. The wagon ride is a great way to take in the beauty of the fields while learning more about the history and cultivation of these gorgeous blooms.

I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices, especially for such a unique and memorable experience. Whether you're a flower lover, a photographer, or just looking for a peaceful outdoor activity, the Carlsbad Flower Fields are a fantastic place to visit. Highly recommend!

We are pass holders and my children ages 5 and 7 both love coming all the time when in season.
Both of my children each found four leaf clovers in front of the sweet pea maze.
Very lucky day!!
The mining area and getting gems/stones is my kids highlight of the day.
They love collecting the stones and comparing them. Thank you for all you folks do here.

The Flower Fields initially looks like an overpriced entry fee, especially when you look at the cost of all of the add ons. As soon as you step in they try to sell you on extra services and exhibits. The main attraction are the beautiful flower fields, which are totally worth seeing. Each section of the flower field has benches for you to take photos. If you stay for sunset, the fields turn golden and it’s quite a sight. I would skip the wagon and take the 0.5 mi walk to the fields and back if you’re able to.

Went on April 18th, 2024 which was a Tuesday. The flower fields were beautiful and full of tulips. Lots of people but we were still able to catch some photos without someone ruining the photo 🙂 Price for admission was slightly high but I think it’s a once in a lifetime experience and we enjoyed the flowers!
They have a cute little shop and some food trucks set up. The food trucks were not that great but we didn’t plan ahead by packing lunch so we were grateful for the option!

Best time to visit is MID-APRIL when everything is in full bloom. The park is open March thru Mother’s Day. A tractor ride takes you around the entire park which lets you hop on and off. A nice way to see the park. Don’t forget to visit the Sweet Pea Maze to smell the flowers. It’s not just for kids! Enjoy!

Absolutely Stunning Experience at The Flower Fields!

Visiting The Flower Fields in Carlsbad was an unforgettable experience! The sheer beauty and diversity of the flowers took my breath away — endless rows of vibrant blooms stretching as far as the eye can see.

The landscape design is impeccable, with every corner carefully crafted to showcase nature’s finest colors. And as if the flowers weren’t enough, the breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean from this spot adds an extra layer of magic to the experience.

Whether you’re a flower enthusiast, a photographer, or simply someone who loves nature, The Flower Fields is a must-visit destination. I’ll definitely be back next season!

We were so disappointed! We went on opening day, booked the 9 AM arrival time and were done by 9:50 AM. And we felt like we took our time and really looked at as much as we could. While there are some beautiful flowers there, this is more of a photo op place. Tons of places with influencers waiting in line to take their pictures. Truly ridiculous!

Since we were there so early in the morning, all of the volunteers were very kind. As a matter of fact on our way out, they stopped us to ask us what we thought. We told them. The two kind ladies at the exit told us that they were very disappointed The powers that be decided to open the flower fields so early in the season. There really is not much in bloom there yet. Why open?!

Our favorite part were the orchids. Definitely not worth the money or the 2 1/2 hour drive it took us to get there! I do not recommend this place to anybody who truly appreciates flowers. Stick with Descanso Gardens or the Huntington library or some other place.
