Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the golf course for the price of the green fee. Routing and design are very good with elevation change and a variety of golf holes. I would recommend this golf course.

Staff (Golf Shop, Starter, Range Attendant, and others) were very friendly and professional. It has a relaxed atmosphere and is well run, an excellent combination.

I would certainly play here again.

Played course 12 Sept 2024. The amenities of this course is unmatched. From the locker room to the practice facilities. Course has a full range and good practice area for chipping and putting. The course also has a great military discount rate. The starter outside was friendly and very helpful. As for the course it's in pretty good shape. The tee boxes are cut nicely, fairways cut nice although some dry spot, the bunkers could be a lot better with actual sand added to some of them, the greens are in great shape with the exception of maybe 1. The course is clearly working on that green to bring it back to life. This course is challenging with a great layout. You won't be disappointed in the quality nor the service. Highly recommend to all golfers. They also have a cart girl and drinking water throughout the course which is a PLUS!!!

Today's golf trip was really great! Every course here was enjoyable because the environment was filled with nature and varied per course, and the fairway and the green are of great quality. The oak tree leaves were changing into their fall colors, and thus, it felt like we were having a picturesque fall picnic. The eucalyptus flowers were also very beautiful.

Beautiful Course with Excellent Facilities

I recently had the pleasure of playing at The Golf Club of California, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The course layout is challenging yet fair, with a nice balance of long drives and intricate, well-placed hazards that keep you engaged. The greens were meticulously maintained, providing a smooth and consistent roll.

The scenery is simply stunning – the natural beauty of the area adds a wonderful ambiance to every hole. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The clubhouse facilities are top-notch, and it’s a great spot to relax with a drink after a round.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great day of golf in a serene setting! Will definitely be coming back.

This is one of the greatest golf courses in the San Diego area with reasonable prices, friendly staff, fine course conditions, nice rental clubs, and delightful food and drinks at the restaurant in the clubhouse! The only not good thing was it was raining in the beginning, but as soon as it stopped, the landscape became looking good, and everything else was also satisfying. I would definitely come again later.

The way golf courses used to be! This is not a course for the newbie, post-Covid golfer. Ball marks are repaired by all on the perfect greens and divots filled in the fairways. Pace of play is NOT 5 hours; courtesy extended by all. You don’t see weeds everywhere or 4 different species of grasses at your feet! Really very refreshing. Conditions were outstanding, greens, tee boxes and fairways with the front 9 fairway lies a bit tight due to extensive weed eradication that has not fully grown in yet, but still moist underneath—very playable and NOT hardpan.

Staff was as kind and courteous as can be, very professional. Just a great experience, long overdue. This course has always been one of the better ones but had ownership issues over the years. Current management really knows what they’re doing now. I sure hope players recognize the difference and do their part to keep it great. It’s a real gem and will continue to get better and better. Thank you, thank you, thank you for restoring the way golf used to be!

The golf round here today was impressive. The cart paths connecting the holes were like trails, blending into the natural surroundings, which gave me brief moments of healing throughout the round. The fairways have some undulation, and if you're lucky, your ball might roll much farther than your usual distance. Of course, the opposite could happen too! 🙂 Overall, I had an enjoyable round at this beautiful golf course.

Staff was great , club is impressive and pampered with ice ready coolers. Course has awesome views and greens in pristine condition. Family really enjoyed the views and challenging course. It was a longer drive for us, however definitely worth the drive..we'll be back
