I took my 3 and 6 year old daughters here with my husband. We had a wonderful time. Some tea rooms have strict rooms on ages, but this place will allow younger kids. My girls are well behaved. The food is delicious and I was amazed at how well they were able to accommodate me being dairy-free. They also have hats and headbands you can wear while having tea. We had a really good time and will definitely come back!

Always love taking my mom and sister here for a cute little luncheon! They have so many different teas to choose from, and the tea sandwiches are delicious! It might seem like a small amount of food but I am always full after the fruit salad, soup, tea sandwiches, scones, and dessert tray (it’s more than enough! We always have leftovers we take home). I truly cannot recommend this place enough, if you are looking for a cutesy place with Bridgerton vibes, this is definitely worth it.

I was lucky to have my bridal shower here and it was amazing. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and made sure everything went well. The owner and her daughter were amazing! The staff amazing! I highly recommend you host your next event here. I’m a frequent customer and recommend this place to all my girlfriends. Best High Tea in San Diego.

Had the absolute pleasure of a stellar live play performance in arms reach. Such a unique boutique experience. 2-3x a year The Grand Tea Room puts on CUSTOM plays by PROFESSIONAL actors… did I say professional?!

This latest offering is named, “The Play That Goes Wrong: A High Tea Dinner Theater Event”. A ticket will get you table side seating in an intimate space where square footage is maximized to entertain throughout the 2 hours, intermission included. A fun medley of small bites and salads is presented alongside 2 flavors of bottomless tea, followed by varied desserts, such as scones and tarts.

Staff is very friendly and attentive. Louisa is the owner and a delight. This is a MUST DO event in San Diego, nothing like it and conveniently in Escondido, you can do the Safari during the day and top off with TGTR!

Tickets do sell out so get on the mailing list!

Super cute place to check out. I could definitely see myself here with a couple girlfriends just hanging out having some tea and goodies. The teas were actually really good.

We went here on a recommendation from our daughter. I expected this to be a place only woman go to, but to my surprise I loved this experience! First off it is unique. I haven’t done a tea tasting like this before. We had two hours from 11 to 1 at a reserved table. You can’t get in without a reservation. During this time you can try all there teas, which is extensive. Then they serve you small amounts of food but by the time we were done, we were all full. The experience started with a mixed fruit dish with cream, so fresh. Then a soup, we choose tomato basil, it was delicious. Then the small snack flight started. Small sandwiches. Loved the chicken salad, then scones, small velvet cake, and other snacks. If your a foodie you will love this place!!!

I had a grand time indeed at the Grand Tea Room with some former work buddies. It was serendipitous that I was able to attend (I live out of state).

It was also somewhat bittersweet as I recalled my last visit here for Mother's Day 2022 with my mother. Our last one together. She passed away in February this year. I treasure that memory.❤️
I look forward to future visits to The Grand Tea Room.

Very bad experience . Rude employees. My daughter and i have been to several Tea rooms and this is the worst experience we have ever had . Would not recommend . Not a true tea experience . The room is cluttered and uncomfortable . We had a reservation and there were several tables for two open but they insisted on sitting us at a large dinning table with other guests . We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated while the wait staff stood around talking to each other . When we asked if we could be seated at a table for two the waitress was rude and rolled her eyes at us and said no . We finally just left and will never go back . Very unprofessional and they do not care about customer satisfaction . There are several lovely tea houses around . The Grand tea Room is not one of them .
