Considering our 10+ years of renting, Harmony Mills has set the bar incredibly high. Staff members are easy to reach, informative, professional, and helpful. Maintenance responds to tickets quickly and there are no "landlord special" shortcut-repairs here.

After two years at our first unit, we transferred to one within the same community. Our decision to stay was easy given how well we are treated, the numerous amenities, and the iconic units. The transfer process was smooth with no hidden fees or surprises. As pet owners we love the fenced-in areas, dog-waste stations, and well-kept paths. The attention-to-detail in the property layout has kept our babies just as happy to be here as we are.

We've never had such a positive, impactful experience as tenants as we have here.

I have been living here the last few months with my dog and it has been amazing. The apartments are extremely dog friendly with multiple dog parks and I love that I have multiple gyms (and a pool!) I can use on very cold days. Ethan has been amazing and has helped me so much from the leasing process to day-by day needs. I would highly recommend living here (especially if you have a dog)!

I would give this place 0 stars if Google would let me. I have been renting for nearly 10 years (even in income restricted housing) and have never had such a terrible living experience as I have at Harmony Mill Lofts.
-Ice/snow grossly mismanaged. I fell four times in a single month and all the office did was "file an incident report" and say that the "ice was not mismanaged in their opinion." There were no apologies from the staff, nobody even checked to make sure I was okay, I only got "That must have been a frustrating experience" from the RESIDENT MANAGER.
-Trash dumpsters are left in front of emergency exits that are main walkways, making it difficult to get in/out of the building and during the summer you don't even want to know what it smells like.
-I have not had hot water since moving in. I've put in 4 maintenance requests now and it still is not fixed. I've been taking 2 minute showers and can't shower for hours after running a single load of laundry or dishes.
-My washer broke and it took them almost 3 months to replace it and we had to threaten legal action in order to even get it done that quickly. Other tenants have no had the same "good luck" and can sometimes go longer without a broken appliance.
-Bats flying through the hallways
-A random maintenance employee with no credentials tried to show up to our apartment at 7:00AM on a Saturday to "inspect" our unit because he "heard from one of his boys in the adjacent units" that our fire alarm had gone off the night prior (it had not)
-Dog poop everywhere inside and outside the buildings
-Harassment from neighbors has made it feel unsafe to be at home. A certain neighbor has been pounding on our door in the middle of the night and screaming at us when we are sleeping and management has not done anything or acknowledged it.

I moved here from out-of-state and wound up selecting my apartment online. Fortunately, I had Ethan Llanes in my corner to be my eyes and ears on the ground. He was extremely helpful and quick to respond to my many inquiries. Upon arriving, I was very happy to see the space selected.

Considering this is a very old mill, one can expect some glitches as management updates the massive structures to the twenty-first century. There are a lot of different apps to open doors, track maintenance, pay rent, video-connect with visitors, etc. While some of them are currently being updated/replaced, it's very confusing to know what each does, what, where to use it, and activate your account. I believe they are looking to simplify such glitchy services, and I look forward to a more user-friendly interface.

Though still unpacking, my only downsides have been:

-There is no disposal (from what I understand is a common reality in this area even beyond Harmony Mills).

-Indoor parking spaces (an add-on offering) are incredibly tight; not for the faint of heart or parking challenged. Each spot does however come with a small, though reasonable, lockable storage area.

-Given the humongous property to cover, it was decided that all packages would be delivered to a central location. Though not located in my building, once you get there and enter the "package room" you are met with a sea of deliveries scattered around the entire space. Granted, they are semi-sorted by some bookcases that identify your building, but even then you are left with going through each parcel (and there are plenty) until you stumble upon your own. Unfortunately with so many packages being self-sorted by residents, most building-specific areas quickly spill over into other building areas which only furthers your adventure. One should seriously consider having all things delivered to an offsite Amazon/UPS dropbox until this system becomes more manageable.

All and all, I'm happy to be here. I feel safe, love my apartment, and have easy access to pretty much anything I need.

Listen to every warning about this place. It is a nightmare living here. Aggressive dogs, rats and mice, spider infestations, awful snow removal, unresponsive staff, wifi never works, constant fire alarms, cars get broken into, none of the amenities are available nor work. I am shocked by any positive review for this place.
The staff has 0 concern for residents well being. They just want your money.
Dog poop everywhere. Filthy place. I could go on. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

I am so proud that I chose the lofts as my new home. The amenities are amazing, the rich history that is kept within and around the building is amazing and so is the staff! I would especially like to extend my thanks to Ethan who really went out of his way too make sure we were happy with the move. Definitely will recommend to others!
