I had such a fun time during the Kintsugi class. Rebecca was funny, patient, and kind and taught us the history behind this art form as well as the technique. It was so nice to learn how to do something really unique! She offers other classes as well and mentioned being able to do a group class with friends which would be so fun.

My partner and I recently took a Kintsugi class with Rebecca at the Magic Brush Room in DTLA, and it was a really enjoyable experience. Rebecca has a sarcastic sense of humor, a confident teaching style, and a knack for making the class both engaging and informative.

She shared practical tips and insights that only come from experience, which made the process feel approachable and manageable for beginners. The class focused on decorative Kintsugi, and the relaxed atmosphere made it easy to follow along and ask questions.

The Magic Brush Room was a nice venue—comfortable and well-suited for this type of activity.

I’d recommend this class to anyone interested in learning the basics of Kintsugi in a supportive and casual setting.

It's LA, so dont forget to leave early, so that you arrive on time. Once the class begins, you dont get to walk in late with a fresh cup of coffee 🙂

OMG! I LOVED Rebecca's class! I have been wanting to step out of my comfort zone and make something with my hands because I feel like it is a good way to challenge my brain to focus and sit quietly while working on a task. This was the perfect solution. Rebecca's encouragement and fun sense of humor truly brought a positive and comfortable vibe throughout the process. Even though I had no idea what I was doing I was determined to make a cute doll for my niece. Rebecca's patience was key as I messed up several times and with her guidance, I was back on track and finished our cute little doll, Miss Sparkle! Although I was not trying to put a hex on my ex I did want to use the opportunity to make something cute and unique for my toddler niece to cuddle and play with especially during Halloween since it's her fav holiday. Highly recommended and her art studio is in such a cool part of Chinatown! Made some fun connections too! Bonus! I will be back for the next creative endeavor.

I took the kintsugi class with my friend and had a blast. There were a lot of steps, and a lot of techniques that require concentration. It was a really nice afternoon, eating Rebecca's home made cookies, listening to good music and having great conversations with interesting Angelenos! Also, I took home a beautiful kintsugi dish that I broke and fixed. Loved it and will do again.

I took kintsuge class with Rebecca who is a patient, encouraging teacher and helpful for my learning ability & pace. The class is held in an art studio in Chinatown. It’s a great space, comfortable, welcoming, lots of light. Rebecca had all the supplies necessary and is generous distributing them. This class is good for beginners, or people who want to advance their Japanese repair skill. It’s light hearted fun, yet concentration is key to learning the technique. This class would be fun sharing with friends on a special occasion. I loved my finish dish…

Rebecca taught Kintsugi and now ... I'm breaking boring plates and ceramics and beautifying them. Rebecca is a remarkable teacher and the time flowed so easily. I'll be back for more crafting. Thanks Rebecca. PS everyone there was super chill and interesting too. It made for a Super Sunday afternoon.

Had an excellent time at the Kintsugi Workshop. Rebecca gave us a short history lesson of the technique as we started then walked us through breaking our ceramics (which she had a selection of options). We then got instruction of the best practices and how to achieve the look we wanted. She then let us free and walked around and made sure we were all making progress and able to keep steady pace. Everyone ended up with a finished piece and it was fun to see what everyone made.

Rebecca herself is very sweet and a great teacher. She is giving Ms. Frizzle energy, funny and entertaining. Which was more than enough to keep my ADHD brain on track for the full 2 hours. It flew by.

10/10, no notes, would buy again.
